Steeling sauces in weatherspoons

I went for lunch in weatherspoons, thre was two horrendously rough couple with a child eating a greggs sausage roll. They put sauces from the table in there bag. It's stealing plain and simple. I'm utterly appalled at some people these days.

Ok, thanks for sharing that

vodkaredbullgirl · 22/09/2025 18:45

🤔

Tollington · 22/09/2025 18:45

It’s not exactly a classy place

InMyOpenOnion · 22/09/2025 18:47

Do you mean those little sachets, or an actual bottle of ketchup?

GingerPaste · 22/09/2025 18:47

Hmmmm, I might have nicked a few Wetherspoons sauces in me time (just the sachets, mind you. I’d draw the line at BOTTLES of sauce).

Are we talking bottles or sachets here?

Tiredofwhataboutery · 22/09/2025 18:49

I will admit to taking a sauce sachet from the markies garage with my meal deal. I suppose I could be putting on my panini but really it’s for a bacon sarnie on a Sunday. I don’t think they really care, I’m assuming it’s not bottles as thst would be cheeky.

TheExcitersblowingupmymind · 22/09/2025 18:49

Oh no not not a Greggs sausage roll.
Who will think of the children 😱

mzpq · 22/09/2025 18:49

I thought you didn't like chain restaurants OP?

Or do you make exceptions for cheap pubs? 😁

Sprogonthetyne · 22/09/2025 18:50

If it's the little sachets, that was an absolute staple of my student/broke young adult stage. Spoons ketchup on cheap rice made up nearly half my diet for a while.

Megifer · 22/09/2025 18:50

Its Wetherspoons what do you expect?

I always take about 10 brown sugars from Costa. I do like a brown sugar coffee from time to time.

(I love a Spoons breakfast BTW so im not knocking it!)

😂 ok if you say so

NoSoupForU · 22/09/2025 18:51

Oh right. I love a greggs sausage roll.

I'd expect a better attempt at trolling and spelling though.

Kangarude · 22/09/2025 18:51

I love a Greggs sausage roll. I know it’s wrong but so what Grin

PurpleChrayn · 22/09/2025 18:52

tinytemper66 · 22/09/2025 18:52

You lost me at being in Wetherspoons…

XWKD · 22/09/2025 18:53

How frightfully common.

ilovepixie · 22/09/2025 18:53

A horrendously rough couple? Just out of interest what makes them rough?

TheNightingalesStarling · 22/09/2025 18:54

Maybe they were trying to increase their iron intake?

ThatCyanCat · 22/09/2025 18:54

I expect Wethers' factors it into their costing.

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 22/09/2025 18:54

Oh man, now I want a greggs sausage roll. Those things are heaven sent!!!

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 22/09/2025 18:56

FFS. Have you been on the wine again?

YYYDlilah · 22/09/2025 19:02

Did they share the sausage roll between all of them?

I'd need to steel myself to go into the Spoons.

GingerPaste · 22/09/2025 19:03

I love sausage rolls…

LynetteScavo · 22/09/2025 19:05

Is it just me finding the spelling and grammar in the OP horrendously rough?

Anyway @Amy34555- did they let the child have any ketchup on the sausage roll? Was the child drinking Coke? I need to know this before I can fully judge.
