Steeling sauces in weatherspoons

I went for lunch in weatherspoons, thre was two horrendously rough couple with a child eating a greggs sausage roll. They put sauces from the table in there bag. It's stealing plain and simple. I'm utterly appalled at some people these days.

Oh no not a sausage roll...

GrandTheftWalrus · 22/09/2025 19:07

Im sitting in spoons just now reading this. I shall watch for sausage rolls and bottles of sauce going missing.

LadydeBathe · 22/09/2025 19:07

The spelling is a nice touch for the wind up. 👏

If it's the little sachets, that was an absolute staple of my student/broke young adult stage. Spoons ketchup on cheap rice made up nearly half my diet for a while.

I haven't seen the sachets in Wetherspoons for ages - they use full size bottles now. If that's what was stolen, it is a bit much.

My partner actually stole a bottle of sweet chilli sauce but it was from Wetherspoons, not Weatherspoons.

I know, he's going to hell!

vodkaredbullgirl · 22/09/2025 19:09

Were they drinking special brew and did the child have a fruit shoot?

AgnesX · 22/09/2025 19:12

What a snotty post. Since you were in in Wetherspoons what makes you so high brow?

Flakey99 · 22/09/2025 19:12

Wetherspoons? Excellent! 👌

I thought you didn't like chain restaurants OP?

Or do you make exceptions for cheap pubs? 😁

😹😹😹

YourGreenZebra · 22/09/2025 19:16

I was in Wetherspoons on Friday night and saw a man drinking with his 10minth ish old baby getting kicked out (this was midnight in a packed pub!!!). The barmaid, who was older and obviously very worldly wise, remained professional but was obviously fuming. I think this would be the least of their worries!

OrrAppleCheeks · 22/09/2025 19:16

What’s the difference between horrendously rough and simply rough?

Navigatinglife100 · 22/09/2025 19:20

I'm not normally a pedant but I think spelling steeling like that is a bigger crime than squirreling a few sauce sachets from W.

EternalSunshine19 · 22/09/2025 19:22

Your spelling is awful. I find that worse than someone taking a few sachets of sauce

Icecreamandcoffee · 22/09/2025 19:23

How responsible of the parents to make sure little Kay-Den will get their vegetables for the week by stealing the sauce. Hopefully they got them a fruit shoot too to be sure he got his 5 a day.

YYYDlilah · 22/09/2025 19:24

Was it two couples or one couple?

Simply rough people buy their sausage rolls from cooplands. Only the horrendously rough lower themselves to a Greggs sausage roll.

luckylavender · 22/09/2025 19:29

These days? People have always stolen things.

YYYDlilah · 22/09/2025 19:29

They probably nicked the sausage roll too.

choccytime · 22/09/2025 19:44

I'd be steeling some mayo to put on my Greggs sausage roll ooh I fancy one now

Thortour · 22/09/2025 19:46

Brexit means we can take sauces from Witherspoons because he was an arch brexiteer.

VioletandDill · 22/09/2025 19:46

I take a handful of mayo sachets if I see them. I don't use mayo enough to justify a whole bottle as it will go off. But every now and again I fancy a tuna mayo sandwich, and it's just the right amount. I await the po po.

TheHillIsMine · 22/09/2025 19:47

I'm appalled at the state of people's spelling and judgement of others who may be struggling.

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 22/09/2025 18:56

FFS. Have you been on the wine again?

Well it is cheap in Spoons

Midnight? Most places kick the kids out at 9/10pm
