Ladies with big feet

SparklyDeer · 28/07/2025 18:16

Yet again, I am browsing for trainers and I am having to look at mens trainers. Size 9 so not huge by todays standards but not that many companies make shoes for women with big feet.
The trans person in my office (who always leaves the toilet seat up in the ladies loos btw - very feminine!) has huge feet but manages to find nice ladies shoes that fit them.
Is there magical trans shoe shops? Are women allowed to shop there too?
My hope is that since so many men want to be women us women with big feet might soon have loads of choice for our big clown feet.
Not really AIBU just not sure where else to post.
It just pisses me off that women with big feet aren't deemed dainty enough to deserve nice shoes in nice colours. I want bright pink trainers in size 9 that are designed for womens bodies. Not mens trainers....

Hi op have a look at cinderella shoes they have some lovely trainers up to size ten.

cartreffi · 28/07/2025 18:28

My DD is a size 9 and doesn’t have issues buying shoes but she gets everything online

Londonmummy66 · 28/07/2025 18:35

Nike Airforces come up to a 9.5 in womens and there is a pink version. My size 9 DD likes them.

not4profit · 28/07/2025 18:37

My running trainers are Mizuno and they come up bigger than Nike - mine are labelled 9/43 and they do a lovely pink!

BCBird · 28/07/2025 18:39

Had the pink.Nikes. Nice to have something feminine. Bought Asics nxt time.

FionnulaTheCooler · 28/07/2025 18:41

Deichman shoes does an XL ladies range.

BCBird · 28/07/2025 18:41

Re trans person leaving toilet up. Are they women happy with the arrangement for toilets?

MummyJ12 · 28/07/2025 18:43

I am in exactly the same boat as you OP with my boat feet!! 😂 it’s so frustrating and the mainstream companies aren’t keeping up.

I have these, they look feminine, go with everything and are really comfortable too.

I feel your pain. I’m tall and a full size 9 too. No ifs and buts!
We have long aristocratic feet, not chubby little piggies!

I’ve just had to buy men’s Reebock trainers because in JD Sports that’s the best they could offer. I wish I’d seen this thread last week. I’d love a pair of pink trainers!

I’ll certainly look at some of the suggestions on this thread. I’d love pretty shoes too. It’s been an issue getting nice pretty feminine shoes all my adult life. Ordering on line can bring a lot of disappointment! Thanks for raising the issue OP.

AlwaysFreezing · 28/07/2025 18:47

Generally I find specialist shoe companies make god awful shoes.

And most other retailers sell 8s as 9s.

But. Some of the companies that do do genuine 9s (43) that fit me reliably are Tom's. Doc martens. Birkenstock.

And I noticed the other day that saltwater do upto a 10 now! That's a bit exciting!

SparklyDeer · 28/07/2025 18:52

Thanks all. Quite a few womens size 9 in trainers are not really size 9 imo...they come up small. Hence my current trainers are a boring grey blue as the fancy running shop i went to only had them that would fit me. Asics defo too small.
I will look at some of the suggestions above....fingers crossed

Try https://ottoandivy.com/

They are wonderful! Have honestly changed my life. They look expensive at first glance but they are actually way cheaper than any equivalent well made leather shoes. And all fit true to size and are really comfy.

I mostly wear skechers as I find their sizing on the large side and I can fit in a ladies 8, despite being a solid 9 elsewhere.

My other gripe in life is that I am already 6ft tall and most online size 9 shoes have a massive heel or platform wedge. It never seems to occur to shoe designers that generally the bigger your feet, the taller you are.

dizzydizzydizzy · 28/07/2025 19:01

Fellow size 9er here!

https://airandgracelondon.com/products/isla-gold-metallic-leather-suede-trainers

I've just ordered these in gold - very expensive even in the sale. I am looking forward to receiving them.

I see quite a few of their shoes go up to a 10!

I also bought some sandals from https://www.moshulu.co.uk/

They now have some shoes in a 9 but as usual only the boring colours like black and navy blue. They have some lovely pink sandals and shoes but only up to an 8. I emailed them and asked to make size 9 in pretty colours too .

I was so excited when this company started, then they did the whole thing with Caitlin Jenner and it put me right off. After a lifetime of wearing ugly men's shoes and trainers the last thing I want to be doing is wearing the same shoes worn by a man. I can't understand what they were thinking there!

TheWormThatTurned · 28/07/2025 19:08

Try Air &Grace - they're a little pricey but incredibly comfortable and go up to size 9.5

ZaZathecat · 28/07/2025 19:14

New Look do quite a few 9s and Tk Maxx have a few

MummyJ12 · 28/07/2025 19:28

Aquazzuras are pricey but they offer bigger sizes and are absolutely beautiful. (Budget busting though!)

DIRECTDORIS · 28/07/2025 19:28

im a 12 or 13(technically a 12 1/2 but depends on the brand) got to a size 12 by age 11(yes really)
im also 6ft with 36 inch legs, got to that size by age 11 as well

ive lived in mens trainers ever since (im 44) or in school i was allowed caterpillar boots
my feet have never been in a high heel, sandal or flat patent type shoes
buying anything in shops are so hard work
ive turned to tiktok shop or temu the last few years as European sizes fit perfect

would love to be a 8 or a 9

silver lining is i make a lot selling feet pictures as my feet are narrow but very long

BertieBottsEveryFlavourBeans · 28/07/2025 19:38

I feel you, I'm a size 9EEE so normal wide fit don't fit me. I have to buy men's trainers and be careful about which brand and style.

I'm not a shoe person for this very reason, shoes just don't look good on my big fat feet and awful cankles 😭

NeverDropYourMooncup · 28/07/2025 19:41

Rather than posting here, wouldn't it make more sense to ask them where they got 'those lovely shoes' from?

solando · 28/07/2025 19:41

Josef Seibel go up to size 10

sweetpickle2 · 28/07/2025 19:42

ASOS sell size 9 shoes, I think quite a few mainstream high street places do now.

Thats probably where your colleague buys hers from, you could just ask her though.

farmlass · 28/07/2025 19:42

Cinderella shoes and Magnus shoes.

Both brilliant for my big feet

Bushmillsbabe · 28/07/2025 19:46

ASICS do ladies trainers in a proper size 9, I got some lovely lilac ones from the outlet store in Wembley. I think they also do a 10. Skechers also come up very big, I'm a 9 but their 8's fit me fine and they do some lovely trainers, boots, smart flats etc.
I have struggled in the past, but has been much better recently
