So despite being flattened by the heatwave these last few days, I’ve still being enjoying my music and just got me wondering what everyone’s summer favourites are?!

I’ll start, so as a child of the 80s, mine is ‘Cruel Summer’ by Bananarama. So relatable growing up because my parents never took us on holiday ever so the school summer hols always felt torturously long and cruel because all my friends and cousins did get to go away and I was quite sad about that as a kid and this song as well as being so catchy was just perfect for me to hold a pity party to! 😅 And still resonates as an adult when you’re stuck in the office throughout most of the summer!

You're my best friend by Queen - it was playing from an open window (very hot summer of 1976) as I waited for the bus to take me to school to get my A level results. That day was the first day of the rest of my life!
