I’m broken. I need a space I can post online with mums who’ve also got young kids who had amazing dads. I just need a space to connect with others who understand it and hopefully those who’ve been through it and can reassure me. It was completely unexpected. Happened today. (And hi to anyone in real life who knows me and will recognise this x you can just ignore this) xx

I'm so sorry. WAY - Widowed And Young, and Ruth Strauss foundation to help support the children. No personal experience but have known a lot of people helped by these.

Zonder · 06/07/2025 21:54

So sorry for your loss.
I don't have any experience of this personally but there's a bereavement section on this MN forum which might be helpful.

Big Hugs

im so sorry 🤗. what a dreadfully sad & devastating thing to happen, especially when you & DS are so young.

my Dad died unexpectedly & quite young too, but I was an adult.

You WILL be ok. Your DS WILL be ok. It won't be easy, but you WILL be ok.

its far too early to think beyond getting through 5 minutes st a time. I hope you have another adult there with you xx

myplace · 06/07/2025 22:05

How awful, I am sorry. There will be people here who have been through it. A few comments from people like me will help keep the thread visible until they come along.

So sorry for your loss, I had to tell my ASD son his dad had died, I didn’t use any fluffy words or fluffy expressions, he needed to know he wasn’t ever coming back. It’s hard but you will get through this and you will be ok. Feel free to message me if you need to chat.

KittenKins · 06/07/2025 22:14

No experience, but very much hearing your pain. Tonight just keep breathing, & talking if you wish to. Thinking of you
