Do Teddies have kids who struggle academically?

Hello All,

Just seeing if any current parents can tell me if the vast majority of kids at Teddies thrive academically. I have heard this from current parents and students.

I think we have all misunderstood the question and OP is talking about a different kind of Teddy.
In which case, I couldn't give a duck's arse.

In the Other Place Teddies are academic (fingers crossed the link works).

At what point this a new poster think

“I don’t think I can add anything that hasn’t already been said”

and the thread dies

I agree.

Hey, this was really fun
We hope you liked it too
Seems like we've just begun
When suddenly we're through
Goodbye, goodbye, good friends, goodbye
Cause now it's time to go
But, hey, I say, well, that's OK
Cause we'll see you very soon, I know
Very soon, I know
Goodbye, goodbye, good friends, goodbye
And tomorrow, just like today
The loons, the bears and the Mumnset House
We'll be waiting for you to come and play
To come and play, to come and play
Bye now.

Because it’s not only about the academics. It’s about an entire schooling experience that could make or break you.

Now I feel like a dreadful parent. My son refused to accept teddies and became attached to Doggy. Why did no one tell me that it was the lack of teddies that would make or break him???

My dd much preferred dogs to teddies and did very well academically, so fear not!

He seemed OK with things at the end, and had a cup of tea when the Teddy Bears had their Picnic.

I realised that after watching! 😂

It seemed a bit touch and go, though, till the end.

I know that they also weed out at sixth form

Is Teddies a nickname for an actual school? If so, which one? Serious question.

Iirc, St Edward is the Patron Saint of Teddies, performing miracles at picnics

Thank you. I've no idea why the OP couldn't spend a few extra seconds writing the school name if she's considering spending gazillions of pounds to send her kid there.

Yep, thanks! This information would have been useful to the rest of us in the OP! The vast majority of us clearly didn’t have a fucking clue what the OP was banging on about other than assuming it was some sorry of prestigious school! 😂

ThePoshUns · 04/07/2025 12:04

Teddies can have kids now? What is the world coming to? Has Paddington got children?

JustASmallBear · 04/07/2025 12:08

If anyone sees their teddies become restless in the next few days, they may be getting exciting about this...

My first assumption was that “Teddies” was a well-known aspirational nursery/preschool chain and was beginning to roll my eyes at ‘academically’ and ‘students’.😂 That would have been worse, I think.

Me too - I assumed nursery as well.
