Dogs everywhere!

In shops and cafes, barking and making people jump, tripping over them in the street... Seems everyone and their Auntie Flo has a dog nowadays.

Why are you pretending you are thinking of the dogs best interests when this is one of your first posts.

My dogs are well looked after with no health conditions. I will spend whatever money I want on them. Nothing to do with you.

Beagles are known to live till they 12-15 if well looked after. I've made sure mine hasn't got overweight as they tend to overeat if allowed.

At the moment she's napping after her dinner. If I sat next to her she would come for a cuddle. She's a content little thing.

My other dog is cute mixed breed who's only ever had to go to the vets for yearly jabs and to have his teeth cleaned.

Stop pretending you care about the dogs.

I’ve a cocker spaniel. Same here - no issues (other than once she ate something she shouldn’t during her teen stage). I saw the genetic testing report the breeder carried out so not aware of any issues. And if there are issues in the future (as with any being as they age) I have enough money to get the right treatment for her. I know it’s possible she may have cataracts or glaucoma, and it doesn’t worry me as I have both of those myself.

I myself have auto immune conditions and I don’t rage against my parents for having me when they know these things run in the family.

She’s currently sat having a lovely cuddle with me because she’s a happy girl.

The dog haters on here seem to have issues. I’m not sure why they don’t scroll on by - I imagine they likely have high blood pressure from being ranty people all the time.

Meanwhile I’ll continue my chilled Sunday now we’ve had our two walks for the day so it’s time to stick a chicken in the oven (which we will share with both the dog and the cat - that cat will not take her eyes off the oven until the chicken is cooked and out).

Oh and a PS - I love to spend my money on treating both my cat and my dog. On whatever I want to buy them (or whatever my dog chooses herself if we’re out and about). My money which I worked hard to earn.

Both pets gets a stocking at Christmas and we also celebrate their birthdays and they get special ‘cake’, presents and we all sing happy birthday to them. You don’t get a pet to just ignore it or leave it at home all the time. They should live every day like it’s their best day.

I hate the exploitation of animals for commercial gains and vanity. I find the facade of doing it because we supposedly love dogs soooo much a complete bare-faced lie. We do it for ourselves, and we obviously don't care that dogs are suffering otherwise we'd do something about it. Or at least, you'd hope the "dog-lovers" would, wouldn't you?

Please keep skirting over the fact that so many dog breeds are suffering needlessly with congenital problems just for our selfish 'needs'. Then continue to ignore the fact that whole multimillion pound industries have been made from exploiting dogs and their owners.

I don't hate pedigree dogs, I hate the selfish, vain, money-grubbing people who breed and promote them, knowing full-well that inbred pedigrees are the most riddled with congenital disfigurements and chronic conditions. They feed into an industry that creates dogs with health problems, but nevermind we can put down the non-viable ones and vets can prescribe a lifetime of expensive medications and therapies for the others. It's cruel, and it's all done for our entertainment and vanity.

Those are completely different things, do you get it? Maybe you need to do some research on the dog industry and it's interest on keeping dog culture alive?

I hate dog culture because of the damage it causes to animals, whilst a whole industry makes profits, and stupid, selfish, vain people just please themselves and turn a blind eye.

Pedigree breeding for racial purity is essentially eugenics carried out on animals for nothing other than aesthetic reasons, and relies on inbreeding and selective neutering simply to satisfy a human desire for a plaything.

You also don't understand that there are a lot of lovely healthy dogs living their best life.

Everyone I know who own dogs have this.

You are trying to pretend you have the best interest of dogs when in reality you find dogs annoying.

Have you ever heard the expression, just live and let live, meaning you may not agree, understand, that other’s choose, to care for a dog, but ultimately, it’s their decision not yours.

I"m not deranged. You don't like dogs, then tried to make out you were concerned about the welfare of some breeds, I said most dogs are happy. You just need to get on with your life, dog owners will get on with theirs and annoy you with their existence.
