Stickiest sanitary pads

Perimenoanti · 20/06/2025 21:59

that are unscented.

Help me find the stickiest pads for heavy flows for a larger body please.

I have used lilets maternity pads but some man at lilets decided to change them up and they barely stick to my underwear now. I'm absolutely completely gutted. They are absolute garbage now and I have written to them to complain.

Pls no suggestions on pants, cups etc. I'm asking about single use pads only.

Lillets do a nighttime pad in a purple packet which is ultra absorbent it’s really sticky. Once it’s on it doesn’t shift atall.

I tried those whilst the maternity pads were still good and these are nowhere near as sticky. They just don't stay in place for me at all.

Apparently the strip you pull off to disclose the sticky wings can be put on the outside of your pants gusset and then restick the wings to it. It’s supposed to hold the pad in place.

Have you tried the Always Platinum range? Though as I type it I'm wondering if they are scented. The giant ones are good though

AreYouBrandNew · 20/06/2025 22:09

I like Flo Bamboo - they do extra long

dementedpixie · 20/06/2025 22:09

Bodyform are mostly unscented.

I have actually and they stick well, but the scent is horrible and irritating. I hate that pretty much all always pads have a scent now. I'm totally bewildered by it.

What? I'm going to try this.

I have panic ordered those, arriving tomorrow. I got caught out by the lilets maternity pads no longer working on my heaviest days.

I feel nothing but rage. Nothing on the packaging either that would suggest they have changed. Their form has also changed. Whoever did this MAY YOUR PILLOW BE EXTRA HOT for a whole month.

Have you tried any of the own brand pads?

The superdrug ones are pretty good, but only really work if I don't move much. They are quite plastic and I couldn't be out and about in them walking etc I will be totally sore.

Could it be the type/material of underwear you are wearing rather than the stickiness of the pads? I’ve used Bodyform for years and they stick fine to my 100% cotton underwear.

SocksShmocks · 20/06/2025 22:28

I haven’t had a period for 18 months now but I always rated Lil Lets for being unscented and stick well. I used to use the night with wings and the maternity pads. So sorry to read they’ve changed. I wish you luck finding a good alternative.

As an aside - who actually wants scented sanitary towels. IMO that weird smell Always uses is much more obvious than any blood smell from a period.

No it couldn't. It's my body shape.

I wondered about the undearwear too, I wear decidedly sturdy cotton pants (Wirapa) which don’t move atall which probably helps keep things in place.

Perimenoanti · 20/06/2025 22:37

It's NOT the underwear. It's my body shape. Believe it or leave it.

Have you tried other brands of maternity pad? The Sainsbury’s own brand are food. I also liked the ones from Boots in a brown box

ThedaBara · 20/06/2025 22:40

Try Natracare pads from Boots. They're organic and unlike always and bodyform don't give me thrush. The main pad side is do sticky I can barely peel it off my pants, and the wings stick to eachother on the other side of the gusset and there's no getting them unstuck. Good for heavy flow too. I love them, but you do have to pay a bit more

HerNameIsDebbie · 20/06/2025 22:42

I know you said no cups etc, just sticky pads, but I use reusable sanitary pads (honour your flow and earthwise girls are good brands for heavy flow)

They obviously don't stick at all but they popper under your gusset to hold them in place.
And they're unscented.
Might we worth a try if you can't find any.

Optimustime · 20/06/2025 22:42

Have you tried reusable ones? They popper so don't shift.

Needmorelego · 20/06/2025 22:50

I had a pack of very old-fashioned style pads from Boots (own brand) once when caught out.
They were very thick and didn't have wings but they were pretty good for both sticking and absorbing.
I've also used Kotex ones which are very similar to the Boots ones- they seem to be sold in corner shops and poundshop type places.

MintTwirl · 20/06/2025 22:51

I was sent Asda own brand ones once as a substitute item and they were so sticky they ruined my knickers! So maybe those? I use body form, the purple ones and find those great.
