Stickiest sanitary pads

Perimenoanti · 20/06/2025 21:59

that are unscented.

Help me find the stickiest pads for heavy flows for a larger body please.

I have used lilets maternity pads but some man at lilets decided to change them up and they barely stick to my underwear now. I'm absolutely completely gutted. They are absolute garbage now and I have written to them to complain.

Pls no suggestions on pants, cups etc. I'm asking about single use pads only.

Have you tried other brands of maternity pad? The Sainsbury’s own brand are food. I also liked the ones from Boots in a brown box

Not yet. Literally got caught out yesterday. In what way do you find the Sainsbury's good?

Try Natracare pads from Boots. They're organic and unlike always and bodyform don't give me thrush. The main pad side is do sticky I can barely peel it off my pants, and the wings stick to eachother on the other side of the gusset and there's no getting them unstuck. Good for heavy flow too. I love them, but you do have to pay a bit more

Thanks will look into those. Think I have seen the brand before.

I would recommend Asda or Tesco op both really good for heavy flow and sticking.

Not too plastic like/irritating ? Will have a look.

Which ones exactly do you use? I found that even the stickieness varies within the same brand so want to look up your exact recommendation.

I found the only thing that worked for me were the ones with wings and sticking the wings together around my pants.

the only bonus for menopause 🙄

I also found naturcare pretty good, but I can't remember any more details, sorry. The key was the wings sticking (overlap one with the other)

MeganM3 · 20/06/2025 23:00

Do NOT waste your money on Aldi ones. Absolutely minimal absorption.

Summersunshinebliss · 20/06/2025 23:01

@Perimenoanti definitely not irritating or plastic feeling.

AmateurNoun · 20/06/2025 23:04

This might sound like a weird suggestion but have tried using a medium sized safety pin on the front if your pad to make sure it stays attached to your pants? I have seen some people on the internet suggest this helps.

Otherwise if you get desperate I think some manufacturers still make sanitary belts, although I think those are aimed more at incontinence and haven't used them myself.

Incidentally, I'm on the Mirena Coil contraception and whilst I did have about a 2-month continuous period since starting it, I then have not had another period for over 5 years (I just get spotting around once or twice a year). Feel free to ignore if it's not for you but just mentioning in case you weren't aware of that option.

ThedaBara · 20/06/2025 23:08

The long ultra extra ones in the pink box

DelilahBucket · 20/06/2025 23:16

I use Bodyform as I can't use scented either. Their pantiliners have gone the opposite of super adhesive now. I've fed it back to them.

Yes i agree. I find that many pads have wings too far towards the front. I honestly can't get my head around the design. So much talk about leaking into the back and it happens to me too, but there needs to be quite a bit of pad up the front. The wings are usually so far to the front that I can't stick them properly or I would be wearing something thong like up my vulva. It's ridiculous.

Do other women not leak towards the front? What if you sleep on your stomach or get a gush of bloody and jelly as you sit down, get up etc.

Haha I might actually try this. I guess you mustn't do this when flying.

Asda ones are decent and cheap but I use the ones with wings
or reusable with poppers

Honestly why do they switch it up. Do they change condoms like that too and do men get caught out by it?

I struggle to fully peel Bodyform off as they are so sticky.

I have actually and they stick well, but the scent is horrible and irritating. I hate that pretty much all always pads have a scent now. I'm totally bewildered by it.

I hate scented pads too, gross. Probably another great idea by a man.

I find Tesco own brand pads ok, they are unscented and they do a super plus night time pad

I've had some from them so sticky I struggled to get them and now they float off when you pull your knickers up 🙄

I leak at the front more than at the back.

Bodyform Maxi Night with wings have a good amount at the front and I find they stick really well. The towels are more padded than most modern ones and I find them very comfortable.

They aren’t that easy to find, I think Savers is one of the only shops local to me that stock them. Haven’t seen them on Amazon.

These are not the same as Bodyform Goodnight, which I have accidentally bought and been disappointed with. Although they stick reasonably well too.

Perimenoanti · 20/06/2025 23:59

I was just going to order my deodorant from Amazon and it's been discontinued too. Its not listed on ocado either. What a day for a woman!

Have you tried incontinence pads ? I find them more absorbent and sticky .
I use Always long , unfortunately they are scented but they ( unlike most ) don't aggravate me

zaicandy · 21/06/2025 00:01

OP- have you thought about changing your knickers? I found that my period pads sometimes struggled to stick to my pants no matter what kind I tried on. It was the material of the pants that made the difference.
