Iran - full evacuation of Tehran?

Fitasafiddle1 · 17/06/2025 04:18

Genuinely finding it hard to sleep now having seen the news that Tehran - a population of 10 million are being urgently advised to leave. Is anyone else feeling very concerned (and nervous) watching what is now taking place in the ME? It is being reported that Israel have ‘full ariel control’ of Iran?

Delusions of grandeur? Just when you think it can't get any lower.

By writing off every single valid criticism as being said because of anything linked to Judaism then yes, delusional.

QuiteUnbelievable · 19/06/2025 05:14

It's being reported USA will use it's bunker bombs in days on nuclear site's.
How safe is that? Releasing the chemical's

Fitasafiddle1 · 19/06/2025 05:36

Yes direct US involvement now seems possible, and is being reported everywhere.

I assumed the US were trying to broker an agreement with Iran, and now the arm twisting is becoming extreme. Does.anyone have any further details?

Like you would really say the same about any other form of racism. So yes, hypocritical.

Thank you @Stirabout. What’s that phrase? Something like ‘a lie can run half way round the world before the truth has tied its laces’

I just saw a clip of an NBC report. The journalist was grinning like an idiot whilst describing an Israeli/US idea to let of the world's first ever and largest imaginable dirty bomb

quite unbelievable

Israel's hand has been forced throughout by 1. Their proximity to multiple hostiles; 2. Oct 7th; and 3. Iran becoming an imminent nuclear power.

They can hardly be blamed for neutralising threats. If only our own governments would act in the interests of their people.

Gaza was given a fair degree of autonomy in 2005, and they end up with Hamas and Oct 7th.

The big danger would be the emergence of another IS-type outfit and their attendant misery. Thinking about it, a monarchy may be the best route for Iran - it seems to be the only type of state that works in the region or at least remains stable for a reasonable period.

And 4. constant wars to keep Netanyahu in power.

Dangermoo · 19/06/2025 08:10

You've got to have a sick mind to believe that, but nothing surprises me anymore, with conspiracy theorists.

The difference is that you won’t find anyone on here denying them or defending them, whereas people do come on here and repeat lies and propaganda

noblegiraffe · 19/06/2025 08:53

Oh I have reported plenty of posts denying/defending the October 7th attacks on here.

I haven’t seen any doing either but I’m guessing they were rightly deleted.

Uranium needs to be enriched to 90% to be weapons grade
Iran is not enriching Uranium to that level.

Sites hit so far, ie the inactive heavy water reactor Arak have not shown any leaks according to the IAEA

MistressoftheDarkSide · 19/06/2025 12:35

So according to the Guardian Katz is publicly gunning for the Ayatollah. That's going to make negotiations tricky. And Iran is threatening "allies of Israel".

It’s thought it’s to defend their boarders and due to increasing potential Israel control of air space.
They have spoken out against the Israeli attacks on Iran.

MistressoftheDarkSide · 19/06/2025 13:12

I saw ErdoÄŸan had said Iran had the right to defend itself.

Wonder what other military manoeuvres are going on in the region? Certainly seems that everyone's braced for something. But nobody knows what. Oh. Apart from Trump. But he's not telling.

I'm dividing my time between kitten watch and WW3 watch. What a time to be alive.....

When you've got medieval regimes still operating, WW3 is always around the corner.

My guess is that Trump is hoping a deal can be done diplomatically so Iran agree not to advance their nuclear capability and in exchange they get to keep the current regime in place.

If this happens it will be down to the skilled negotiators of UK, France, Germany and Iran who are in talks tomorrow, but Trump will take full credit.

Very interested in your kitten watch. I would ask for a photo but possibly this is the wrong thread for that.

and Turkey is moving military to its borders.

I believe this is pretty standard practice, it doesn’t indicate Turkish military involvement. I assume it is also to contain the thousands if not millions of potential displaced refugees coming from Iran into turkey in the near future - in the worst case scenario.
