The Beckhams’ once-flawless brand and PR machine have finally taken a dent.

Will Brooklyn be tempted to write a tell all or speak out, like Harry? Surely the Beckhams have their own skeletons, and you can bet the media will bait Brooklyn until he cracks.

Makes me feel somewhat better about my own dysfunctional family.

I feel for David though, his 50th will have been overshadowed by his son. Give, give, give and in return their first born cannot put differences aside to attend.

AIBU to think that parents who give their kids everything just end up creating entitled brats who are so detached from reality, add little to society and throw it all back in their poor parents faces. should there not be some kind of study, research or guidance on how to stop this happening. The world has enough problems.

I wonder this too- I guess both Victoria and David must’ve been very used to travelling and “performing” after so maybe it is something they’ve got the children used to.

I think all of the above. It doesn’t seem that they wanted her to play a central role, so Victoria getting wind of them doing a bad job maybe would’ve caused some I told you so’s.

Dont know too much about Romeo and Cruz but from what I’ve seen they don’t seem quite as clueless as Brooklyn. They at least seem to recognise that they are privileged and don’t jump from career to career trying to pretend that they’re not

Re: BB I think this is a good example of why exposing much of your life on social media is a bad idea.

I’ve no idea what’s going on between him and his family, but the fact is if you have a long established “family brand” M.O. of Instagraming family meet ups, big occasion’s, well wishes etc etc then it’s inevitable that not doing so is going to result in some people asking questions and drawing (possibly incorrect) conclusions.

I'd imagine Brooklyn isn't playing ball with the "perfect family" image that they try to project on social media as the media aren't exactly kind about him. It's been reported that he and Nicola saw David privately in London before the public events. I am quite saddened that David and Victoria seem to treat the children as Insta props rather than worthy of the best of educations etc - they can afford the best schooling possible. Instead Harper always seems to be Mum's fashion accessory and rarely in school.

The Ecclestone sisters are the same. Seem to prioritise holidays and trips to Disney over education.

That is what I am saying. Maybe Peltz did refuse. Maybe she doesn’t want to be a Beckham clone, it does look a bit downgrading. Who knows.

TBH I’m amazed it’s taken this long for the proverbial to hit the fan. D&VB completely sold out their kids for Brand Beckham. They never had a chance to be themselves, find out what they liked or wanted - their privacy was never protected…they were a marketing packaged commodity, used in pursuit of their parents blatant greed.

DB has been serially unfaithful - don’t mention Harpur’s teacher who went on maternity leave with a huge payoff and a watertight NDA - they’re so far from the happy family the media portrays.

Also Victoria (and I think David) tagged all the kids in social media but not Brooklyn and in previous years even if he hasn’t been there they’ve tagged him and put in brackets (missing you).

I am NC with my dad so have not wished him a happy birthday for around 10 years but I am happy to report that neither my partner nor any Americans were involved in my decision.
