Prince Harry and Brooklyn Beckham

Not a good look for our British families

The Beckhams’ once-flawless brand and PR machine have finally taken a dent.

Will Brooklyn be tempted to write a tell all or speak out, like Harry? Surely the Beckhams have their own skeletons, and you can bet the media will bait Brooklyn until he cracks.

Makes me feel somewhat better about my own dysfunctional family.

I feel for David though, his 50th will have been overshadowed by his son. Give, give, give and in return their first born cannot put differences aside to attend.

AIBU to think that parents who give their kids everything just end up creating entitled brats who are so detached from reality, add little to society and throw it all back in their poor parents faces. should there not be some kind of study, research or guidance on how to stop this happening. The world has enough problems.

@Bambamhoohoo how could they expect more if they are not capable of more? A study once said the education of a child is largely down to the mothers level of education. How old or accurate that study is now who knows...

Not just academically, I mean only expecting politeness of your children full stop seems a bit basic.

Membersavedbythebell · 05/05/2025 22:12

I also agree having seen BB in interviews, he comes across as very lovely, as do all the kids, isn’t that the most important thing? Not all kids/people are academic, plus they’re loaded, presumably they won’t ever have to work a day in their lives…if I was in their position, I probably wouldn’t 😂I would have lots of interests and just enjoy my life.

Membersavedbythebell · 05/05/2025 22:14

Op, what is Victoria B supposed to be partial to?

I find it really sad if David did indeed have all these affairs, they appeared to be so truly loved up together..,just sad

Honestly can’t remember, was over a decade ago I reckon. Found a daily Mail article about the whole thing before VB waded in being upset.

I thought Brooklyn and Romeo went to Portland Place School, then Brooklyn went on to Hampstead Fine Arts College for sixth form. (Rocco Ritchie was there at the same time - very sleb.) Romeo moved on to Millfield in Somerset, well known for being very sporty.

FagsMagsandBags · 05/05/2025 22:34

I think there were affairs because I have a friend who lives in Madrid and the rumours etc were just too huge for it to be absolutely nothing but gossip. I think there was a lot of effort made for things to be kept quiet and for the lack of damage to be done to the marriage. I think that something we should always take into account when we hear about these things/"know" about them is that we hear "affair" the couple may hear "we both know about this, this is how we choose to live our lives, we keep it secret because we don't want your judgement, we are perfectly happy as we are."

If she is miserable because he is always at it. If she is and if he is, naturally, then that's said. If their relationship is not the sort that is the norm for more people and they are both perfectly happy with it, then whatever makes them happy and fair play to them. We don't know that she hasn't had affairs either. In fact we have a small idea of something that might be nothing and the fact that they remain together decades into a long relationship and still seem to find each other sexy and fun to be around speaks volumes as to the success of that relationship.

If she’d had affairs, surely it would get out into the media?

hcee19 · 05/05/2025 23:11

Not attended any of David's 50th birthday celebrations, so the media report....But the media doesn't always report the truth so who knows what's going in....lt's their business

I am listening to the Tom Bowers book & he’s outlined affairs & flirtations not just with Rebeca Loos. I was pretty surprised. VB turning up at Glasto on warpath & physically beating D up in past. The recent doc was lovely & they seemed so in love. Maybe all has better evolved now. Brooklyn is portrayed as peacemaker in earlier years between Mum & Dad.

FagsMagsandBags · 05/05/2025 23:23

@Membersavedbythebell I always find it interesting what makes it into the press and what doesn't.

Gary Lineaker was a known shagger for years but it stayed out of the headlines. If truth is that Looes was one of many then what we know is more isn't in the press than is. I have absolutely no reason to believe that VB has ever had an affair, what I'm saying is that we don't know the inside of a relationship and what makes it work that would seem like a betrayl to us. Their marriage has worked despite what we see as problems and that's ultimately all that matters.

Calliopespa · 05/05/2025 23:31

Needmoresleep · 05/05/2025 21:38

Yeah it is a matter of taste.

Romeo however was paid to work as a model.

Admit it. You wouldn't be on this thread if you did not like a bit of gossip.

Gossip and being totally derogatory are not the same thing.

And there are not many male models I find attractive. Modelling has a certain look.

I cannot stand Tom Bower. He is an absolute hatchet job "writer".

Where can I listen to this?

User14March · 05/05/2025 23:40

@Membersavedbythebell audible, House of Beckham.

It probably speaks to the corrosive effect of American influence on family life.

Harry and the Beckhams have moved to a country ruled by a man who raped his ex-wife and buried her body in a barely-marked grave (since neglected and overgrown), whose current wife seems to go out of her way to show repulsed by him, whose neice has carved out a career as a prominent critic, whose mother asked "what kind of son have I created?" and whose sister labelled him unprincipled and cruel.

For some reason, Americans have really come to admire being hated by your own family. It's bound to rub off a bit.

What? You make that sound like someone murdered their wife and buried her

Yes the whole Haberdashers thing was a load of rubbish anyway.

It’s to do with Romeo’s new gf. There was pictures of Brooklyn, guy Richie’s son and Romeo’s now gf all hanging out together back when Brooklyn was a skateboarder 😆
On another note - how old is Cruz’s gf ? He’s still a baby

I don’t know how old Cruz’s gf is but she is unbelievably beautiful. I imagine VB has been salivating being able to dress her. A second doll, like Harper.

Just googled, she’s 29 and Cruz is 20. Not sure I’d be happy about that!

I always find it bizarre when people berate celebrities for not publicly acknowledging stuff like birthdays and deaths of people they actually know in real life. Why on earth should they have to make a public statement to strangers when they can just contact the person or their family directly?!?

It’s non of your business whether Brooklyn wished HIS DAD a happy birthday or not, or why he didn’t attend the party.

Audiprettier · 06/05/2025 16:43

Æthelred · 04/05/2025 20:41

He tried as a footballer - failed miserably. He tried as a musician - failed spectacularly. He tried as a photographer - failed moderately. He tried as a chef and almost succeeded.

Still no idea why they've had a fallout?!

Edited

So why are photos of the parties in the papers then? Could it be shock horror the Beckham's aren't bothered by the publicity?
If they are doing posed family pictures and one of the family isn't there ( repeatedly) it's not strange to ask why.

IthasYes · 06/05/2025 18:36

@User14March now they can line dance in unison to islands in the stream, it's all changed for the better

😂😂😂

I have a friend who lives in London so I know for a fact that Charles has told Harry to "fuck off," because all the people gossiping and spreading rumours said so.

FagsMagsandBags · 07/05/2025 01:54

The rumours had started before the affair that we know happened was made public. I should have added that she moved in circles that knew/saw this sort of shit. She gossiped with me because although how many years later it strikes me as too well known about to worry that it's all secret, she knew at the time I'd stay schtum and I did because blah. Yes, I sound like a pretentious twat but another blah at me.
