Dd has one of her artworks on exhibit at the Royal Scottish Academy’s Annual Open Exhibition. I don’t think I’m BU to be so proud of her, although IRL she doesn’t think it’s worth mentioning to friends! She’s the youngest in the show.

Another wee thought, Ruby has originals on her website which may be beyond reach for some.

I'm late to this but jeez!!! She's so talented. As others have pointed out you can actually sense the subject's personality and warmth just from the paintings. She's amazingly talented and, as someone whos skills stretch as far as stick people, I'm insanely jealous!

Ah, thank you all. She has just started selling limited edition high quality prints of one of her paintings, which look beautiful and will be putting all her proceeds towards Florence. Info about them on her Facebook page. She is determined and loves what she does. So, I think she'll keep moving towards her goal. There is always some struggle in an artist's career!

That's a fantastic painting. If I have time I might go through to Edinburgh to see the exhibition. I don't live too far away.

@ApolloandDaphne Wow! Thanks. The painting currently hanging in the RSA, Best Scone in Scotland has a lovely story to it and Paul (the baker) is such a one-off, fabulous man, currently in hospital. Ruby has had a special print made of this painting to send to him. We are all really pleased that he's seen the painting have success at such a prestigious gallery. It's made his day.

I'm in the gallery now and can confirm that it is a wonderful painting indeed!

@beetr00 Thank you! She is working hard. It’s the last day of half term for her, but she managed to squeeze in a 3 hour photoshoot for a commission. I think it’s going to be a good one!
