Easter Baskets.. what’s realistic

Seen many reels of people making up lovely Easter baskets. Some pretty expensive ones too to be honest. Do you do Easter baskets in you’re house what goes inside them? I think it’s a lovely idea just not sure if it’s a thing me or the Easter bunny want to start in this house 😅to think a couple of Easter eggs is still what the bunny brings most houses?

The Easter Bunny does a supprise treasure hunt with clues round the house. At every clue there will be a small chocolate something for Easter related craft to do on the day. Then there will also be a couple of eggs somewhere along the hunt. DD absolutely loved it personally I wish I'd never started it as it's a right faff! We still had an egg in the cupboard from last year which is amazing as DH normally eats anything left over! Generally don't bother with loads of chocolate. This year I think they have 1 small regular egg eg £2 smarties 1 Lindit Aldi copy Bunny & 1 novelty egg. Then some crafty bits/decorations to make, might be the odd cheap game as well. I think DD and DS would be disappointed if I gave them a basket with it all in, where's the fun in that! However a teenager/adult I'm sure would love a thoughtfuly put together basket.

Last year I got quite carried away and did a highly curated basket for both DD and my DM. I think the only person particularly excited about them was me.

I decided this year to go easy on myself so I am just going to use the basket I gave DD last year, which was quite small, and put in a little bit of chocolate, some flower hair clips, a spring themed book since the new Acorn Wood book is out, and maybe some Easter colouring. I really put those non food things in to try and dilute the chocolate focus!

A medium egg and a Lindt bunny are standard for us.

OP if you start an Easter basket tradition, you'll be making a rod for your back, it'll be every year for forever!
