It’s really heartbreaking what those men were put through. Crimes like that really need to be prosecuted incredibly robustly because they can really hurt community tensions and make people of the Pakistani community feel really unsafe.

I’m glad this documentary was put out there to exonerate those people.

iwasntexpectingthatoops · 08/01/2025 13:10

I think I know what girl you are talking about. She was abused, numerous times. But she accused innocent men.

Isxmasoveryet · 08/01/2025 13:10

people of this town rallied for this girl truth came out they went o well she lied no big deal we put these men through unimaginable hell but it ok now they people of this town shoulder mortified

I really wonder where peoples' priorities lie. The best evidence suggests that more than 50 English towns suffered from Asian child rape gangs and tens of thousands of children were raped, tortured and abused these children to this day have not been properly recognised or helped or recompensed.

And tens of thousands of Asian gang rapists and child torturers got off with minimal sentences, or even no sentences, and were never deported. And many people in the social services and police and local government who were responsible for safeguarding, and failed abjectly have never been held to account or had even the slightest penalty for their dereliction of duty.

Yet people think the news of the day is to be upset because Elon tweeted or one victim got two or three people wrongly accused? Is that really the big issue we should be talking about? Why are so many recent threads on Asian child gang rape and torture not focusing on the actual problem?

Upstartled · 08/01/2025 13:21

Quarter of a million girls raped and tortured by raping gangs, and perhaps more than that too, covered up by the cowardess of local government, state government, charity workers, social workers and the police, but ch4 have a documentary about one girl who lied? Figures.

Perfect fucking timing though in case anyone was in any doubt about the priorities of those with a platform to broadcast their own sensibilities.

AllTheMiceGoClang · 08/01/2025 13:26

Studies repeatedly show that false accusations of rape is very low.
Of course she should have apologised and faced consequences, but I can’t get worked up about this case, particularly when it is being used to death to aid the cover up of thousands of girls being tortured and raped by men who just aren’t facing justice, and for whom authorities have allowed it to go on basically unchecked in case it makes them look racist, and who are currently still making excuses for their actions because discussing the cases openly is still viewed by many on the left as racist.

But yes, let’s focus on this instead. Couldn’t make it up.

Isxmasoveryet · 08/01/2025 13:30

i not denying things happened and it is awful but to lie about this stuff ruins lives if someone made this lie up about a male member of ur family would you go ah it fine no harm done I doubt it it also means that credible victims are less likely to be believed after this stupid girl did this for what a few quid n some attention

Things happened? Things happened? Is that how you want to underline the rape and torture of quarter of a million vulnerable working class children?

lying about these things is an issue as it makes genuine victims look less credible and stops people coming forward and the fact the town went ah well she lied no harm done sure if just as evil as the girl herself clearly that townall has issues

That number just doesn’t seem credible sorry. To my knowledge it’s about 300 people at most affected by these gangs from over a decade ago.

But anyway, this thread is about a false allegation and shouldn’t be tied to that scandal in any way, other than to make people think twice before believing the toxic narratives around Pakistani grooming gangs.

Women who lie about rape cause problems for the accused, is there any reason why ch4 - and you - want to devote discussion to the topic in relation to the raping gangs. Could there be a reason for that?

I can't abide cowards and rape apologists, rapists, torturers, those willing to be complicit in corruption and the media who would like to highlight one woman acting in bad faith rather than the hundreds and thousands of girls who were raped and tortured in raping gangs.

she acted in and faith n said sorry that makes it ok the reason it is being highlighted is that no justice was served and she makes genuine victims look bad and stops authorities taking these things seriously

These are straight from the MRA Misogyny 101 playbook.

Rape is basically decriminalised when you look at how many men are actually convicted.
Every day “genuine victims” avoid reporting their rapists because they are treated as liars. The very tiny number of liars shouldn’t have any impact on how victims are treated, but despite the tiny number of liars victims are routinely treated like shit and not believed.

Men, unsurprisingly, tend to come out fine from accusations of rape - genuine or otherwise - because the world and his dog are happy to go along with him being a stand up guy who’s been wronged by yet another woman/girl/slag (whatever everyone decides to call her).

Pretty much every woman knows a woman who’s been raped and/or sexually assaulted, but hardly anyone knows a rapist? Doesn’t add up does it.

I’m also willing to bet my right arm that the lives of the raped girls (in their thousands) are ruined beyond the lives of falsely accused men. It’s laughable that anyone believes men are deeply impacted by this.

This is yet another blatant attempt to take attention away from rape gangs in 50 cities that were known to authorities but were ignored. Fucking scum.

Upstartled · 08/01/2025 13:44

She doesn't make genuine victims look bad. Anybody capable of rubbing two brain cells together wouldn't refute the avalanche of testimony and evidence on the back of one sole voice established as acting criminally.

Startinganew32 · 08/01/2025 13:44

Quarter of a million? Are you for real?

How did she get away with it?

As an aside, the number of separate programs that have been made about this one case, compared with the number of programs about the victims of grooming gangs, is astounding.
