For me, Yodel. Everything arrives late and/or broken. Have sent with them once and the parcel was lost.

Evri is our best if you discount Amazon Prime.

Royal Mail also good but often won't leave the parcel so end up having a 9 mile round-trip to the sorting office to pick it up.

... on the plus side, I'm now only waiting for one delivery side of Christmas!

Agree yodel are awful but Royal Mail absolutely do my head in as they don’t give any even remote idea of a delivery time and basically expect you to wait in all day and the next if you have the audacity to be out when they call

HunterHearstHelmsley · 20/12/2024 21:27

Royal Mail. My heart sinks if they're delivering.

Yodel, Evri etc have always been fine for me. RM usually involves a magical mystery tour to find out where they've chosen to abandon my parcel.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 20/12/2024 21:28

DPD I once had SEVEN failed delivery attempts and they took pictures of other peoples houses and said they'd made an attempt and lied basically

shellyleppard · 20/12/2024 21:29

Amazon are the worst.... don't even knock on the door just leave the parcel by the front door....in all weather 🫤. Our local evri driver is very good though.....think I've got the only one 🤣🤣

MindfulAndDemure · 20/12/2024 21:31

Evri are AWFUL. Best is DPD. Close second is RM.

AnyFucker · 20/12/2024 21:31

Amazon Prime are diabolical

ChipsnGraveee · 20/12/2024 21:33

Yep Royal Mail. They’re the only ones I ever seem to have issues with.
Waiting on a gift I ordered over a week ago, should have been 48 hour delivery and due to be delivered today so late already and now saying Xmas eve…. 🤨

wlv12 · 20/12/2024 21:33

Royal Mail. I don’t know why they bother sending a time frame out as they just ignore it and show up whenever suits them.

Jeezitneverends · 20/12/2024 21:34

Royal Mail is the pits in my area, between them lying about attempting delivery and the sorting office being open for 1 hour a day, they’re a joke

Turquoisetinsel · 20/12/2024 21:34

Yodel this year in particular have been atrocious.

Tereseta · 20/12/2024 21:35

Royal Mail is hands down the worst in our area. I have caught them so many times not knocking and trying to put a missed delivery slip through the door.

HocusFord · 20/12/2024 21:36

Royal Mail are a bloody nightmare for us. On three occasions they have delivered parcels of ours to completely the wrong address (similarly named street in a completely different village with different postcode). They also leave parcels on our doorstep in full view of the road instead of putting them in the safe place.

Gunz · 20/12/2024 21:37

Evri - the village round is split in two and the guy who covers my half seems to go on holiday alot. There is no cover and parcels sit around a couple of weeks waiting for a relief to do the delivery.
Best - DPD - usually get a text confirming delivery

stargazerlil · 20/12/2024 21:37
  1. Royal Mail for the same reasons everyone above has already pointed out.
  2. yodel.
  3. dhl
  4. amazon
Dr13Hadley · 20/12/2024 21:38

None of them are too bad here but Yodel has to be the worst. Evri are brilliant here. We've had the same lady delivering for 7 years and she always leaves parcels in the porch without knocking / disturbing. Stems back to when DS2 was a baby and I asked if she could so the doorbell didn't wake him from his nap. Now she does it so it doesn't disturb DH or I when we're WFH. I gave her a Christmas present this year to thank her. I also write positive feedback for her when I get the inevitable email after a delivery too. Yodel don't read the delivery instructions when I've specifically asked for it to be left somewhere and they go and deliver to a random neighbour instead. I don't choose them if I have the option.

ToThineOwnSelf · 20/12/2024 21:39

DHL. None of their tracking or redelivery links worked - sometimes they took me to someone else’s delivery in Ireland, and the driver left the parcel in the wheelie bin, with no note or email update.

AuntieDolly · 20/12/2024 21:41

Love DPD (thanks Shaq & Sahil). Worst is definitely Royal Mail - lucky if the bother coming more than once a week

WillimNot · 20/12/2024 21:42

At the moment, Royal Mail.

Left a parcel on a window ledge on a busy road. I run a pub, we were literally open at the time.
The only reason we found out was because the dozy prat took a delivery photo which was sent to my phone!

He was stood next to the open pub door as well. Peak laziness.

Or Amazon, who kept saying they couldn't find us. We have a pub that's been here since 1779, it's a huge white building, in a town centre, on a main road. It's literally impossible not to find us. In the end, I said items were not delivered, even though Amazon emailed and said the driver couldn't locate us, they accused me of lying that items didn't turn up. I ended up looking into the delivery agent, phoned them and said I was sick of their lying thieving driver. Funnily enough never had that problem since.

JC03745 · 20/12/2024 21:43

Evri, but I still think of them as Herpes and forget they changed their name at some point.
'We left a card' NO you didn't
'We tried to deliver' NO you didn't
I have cameras, a dog and WFH in my front room! 😡

ijustneedaminute24 · 20/12/2024 21:58

Evri have really wound me up this year, I never had issues until I moved to a new area, this Xmas I've had 2 parcels go missing, too late to reorder items with Xmas coming up and it's taken them an age to admit there is no parcel so I can get a refund.

What really winds me up is that one item was ordered through Amazon who always deliver on time so figured I was safe. Nope, evri swooped in to misplace another present 😫

TwinkleLights24 · 20/12/2024 21:59

Yodel had my order for 3 weeks and then sent it back to sender.

tulipsunday · 20/12/2024 22:00

Evri are the worst around here. Just been left a random parcel this evening house isn't even on our road.

ASantaHat · 20/12/2024 22:01

Dpd if I’m not in they deliver to my local store (they only attempt one delivery) and I don’t go inside that shop after a nasty incident with one of the rude workers. Evri are the best

TwinkleLights24 · 20/12/2024 22:01

shellyleppard · 20/12/2024 21:29

Amazon are the worst.... don't even knock on the door just leave the parcel by the front door....in all weather 🫤. Our local evri driver is very good though.....think I've got the only one 🤣🤣

My local Evri drivers are great.

GingersOwner26 · 20/12/2024 22:06

Royal Mail were meant to be collecting three big parcels of Christmas presents for me last week and then didn't show up, with no explanation. When they deliver something they often don't knock and leave the parcel to get rained on.
