Here's a lesson.....If you hear a child being abused day in day out , get off your backside and ring the police

Another....if a kid is bruised and a cause for concern and they disappear from school follow it up

Did he take her out and homeschooling her?

sre123 · 13/11/2024 18:31

I honestly think this has nothing to do with religion.

I know a devout Muslim man who has to bring up 3 children by himself, because his wife died of breast cancer.

He cherishes his children (2 girls and 1 boy).

There's lots of white child abusers and violent white men.

I can't believe people are blaming religion for it.

amIloud · 13/11/2024 18:33

@Wonderi she did go to school and the school reported it. The family then took her out to 'home-school' her. All those adults are to blame in that house. I feel for the defence who themselves are doing a job to uphold justice in our country - but even then must be utterly appalled at having to represent these sorts of people.

The neighbours accounts of the noises they heard coming from Sara’s house haunt me.

I wish they reported it.

Samcro · 13/11/2024 18:35

Omg hearing this on the news it’s horrific.

We can definitely say for a fact that women and girls are abused more in certain religions ,than in others.

That is a fact.

ThatCosyKoala · 13/11/2024 18:47

All three of them murdered Sara and deserve to rot in jail.

Yes they announced she will be home schooled from next day and never went back, the school never followed up.

ThatCosyKoala · 13/11/2024 18:52

I’m afraid she wasn’t home schooled at all and was made to clean the house and take the bins out as told by one of the neighbours.

WillowTit · 13/11/2024 18:53

just appalling

Yep! And that house sure was clean. It was immaculate.

And every time the father describes what was happening, she was always cleaning something, it's in his description.

Nelliemellie · 13/11/2024 19:06

If you heard a woman or man screaming and then heard what sounded like beatings would you not call the police? But because it’s a child you do nothing. Does not make sense.

ShelleyCarpenter · 13/11/2024 19:08

sel2223 · 13/11/2024 13:18

There are some cases that make me truly wish that an eye for an eye was enforceable and we could make these sick .............. (insert whatever word you deem fit in here) suffer every single second of what that poor tot had to suffer.

They are all guilty, I believe he is taking the blame but this is on all of them and I sincerely hope the others don't walk away scot free.

RIP Sara, no more pain

Edited

I came here to say I want someone to do to him (and the others) exactly what they did to that poor little girl

Lisanoonan · 13/11/2024 19:18

Wanker. How could you do it to your own child.

HorsellNotWoking · 13/11/2024 19:23

This happened in an affluent part of Woking. House prices in this area are on average £676,991. Some Residents, if you were to believe their Facebook group, definately have an overblown sense of pride and identity of being a 'horsell resident'.

Maybe this influenced the neighbours,, I don't know.

But, it just gives context. So when social workers came in, they were coming to a clean house in an affluent area.

exactly - unconscious bias

Thank you for that.

I’m not blaming anyone but the people involved, however there really needs to be regular check ins for children who are homeschooled.
And actual full day sessions without the carers there, not just a quick is everything ok.

I’m not against home schooling but teachers and TAs are able to get to know the child and know when they’re acting differently.
If she wasn’t homeschooled she would likely have been removed from him by now.

Absolutely horrific story and it definitely won’t be the last.

I’m not sure that’s correct.

1 in 4 women experience DA and 1 in 6/7 men.

90% of the people I’ve worked with who’ve been abused/have abused have been ‘Christian’, white and British for generations.

Certain people will blame their religion for treating women unequally but that is not the religion, that is the person.

And men who aren’t religious will blame other reasons for their abuse.

We only have to look at the statistics of child abuse or women rapes or murders in this country to see how this particular religion isn’t a threat to women and children.

I think we care and are outraged and upset because of the awful abuse poor Sara went through. Race and religion doesn't come into it.

Once suspicions arose when teachers began asking Sara about marks on her face and she gave different answers each time, they took Sara out to home school.

90% of the people that you've worked with - doesn't give an accurate statistic on abuse though.

You haven't said what your job is.

A pyschotherapist woman working specifically with recent immigrants could say

"100 percent of the people that I work with who've been abused, are non Christians."

The statistics will change for every job

Peonies007 · 13/11/2024 19:52

I live 5 min away from Sara's house. It's nice part of Woking for sure, over the years lots of Londoners moved in.
The street Sara lived in is less desirable but with still high prices. They rented the house.

Nikitaspearlearring · 13/11/2024 19:52

OtherS · 13/11/2024 12:58

I don't understand how someone can be allowed to refuse to give permission for the cast? Can someone also refuse to give permission for DNA, or fingerprints? Is very odd that he's suddenly decided to do this, I really don't think he should just be taken at his word. Especially if that means the others aren't fully examined.

The problem is, how could they make her do the cast? Tie her up? They can't make her. Same with fingerprints, I suppose. Then if she refuses, take that into account when deciding if guilty and how to punish her.

She was at school the entire time she was abused (and she was abused from birth) apart from April- July 2022 and school holiday period.
