Pizza Hut Buffet

Posting here to hopefully get some quick answers.

So I will be going to Pizza Hut for the buffet, at the weekend with my child for one of her friend's parties.
There's a few of us going, and I've had a look online and at weekends it is 15.99 per adult and 10.99 for children !
I am absolutely not going to eat 15.99 worth of pizza! And I doubt my child will eat £11 worth.
Would I be unreasonable to just pay for my child and maybe have a slice of pizza or 2?
I know they charge different per head to stop this. But how do they police this ??
It's not a huge deal, but I would definitely like to know before I go, and like to know if other people do this or not ?

Gosh i remember when the buffet was around 4.99! Was bloody brilliant and worth every penny.

I think folk are just now criticising anyone who wants to legitimately share, due to OPs blatant misinterpretation of sharing (aka theft).

It isn't stealing. With buffets you get some people that go crazy and stuff their faces. OP and daughter clearly aren't like this and will only be eating a small amount. What is the harm in her having a slice or 2 of pizza which could be included in her daughter's allocation?

Well you can think it's "pretty weird" all you like, but no one has ever batted an eyelid at me and my now adult DD doing this over the years (both of us small appetites). We've shared many a pizza in many places over the years, not an issue. I've never been told to "go home" nor directed to the nearest homeless shelter, funnily enough...🤷‍♀️

Shall we screw what everyone else thinks and go there together ?? We can invite @Tink3rbell30 too.. I've just bought a new sleeping bag. I don't mind sharing my pizza with you guys. Or maybe I can just not pay, and scrounge off your plates if that's okay? We can work it out 🙏🏼

Not at my local pizza hut, you scan the qr code and order yourself online.

It's stealing if someone who hasn't paid to access the buffet goes on to eat food from that buffet.

Of course it is.

All you can eat means you pay if you eat 1 slice or 10 slices. It doesn’t say those with small appetites are excluded from paying in the small print.

You're not doing the same thing as pp. She isn't trying to steal.

It's a date! Tell you what, you can eat pizza off my plate if I can drink your Pepsi max? And I bet they won't even notice the sleeping bags under the salad bar, that way we'll be able to scrounge a place to sleep for the night and everything. Sorted 😃

But the scenario is daughter takes a little too much from buffet. Rather than food go to waste mum eats it. I honestly don't think this is such a big deal.

Just been on TV that McD are offering burger, fries, chicken nuggets and drink for £5.

I'm in. How about one of us pays for 1 adult buffet and the other 2 just take a slice or 2?

The daughter should be prevented from 'taking a little too much' to start with. A slice at a time would prevent this happening.

I'm also not trying to steal. You've not answered the questions asked; and you have no sense of humour either. Which is what this thread has turned into - humorous. So realistically, you're not needed here anymore to throw your morals about.

The reason mum hasn’t paid in the first place though is because she’s hoping to eat her child’s food because she’s too tight to pay for access to the buffet herself.
