@TheWayTheLightFallsI paid £187 and the seller dropped it off for me because he was local. I met him on a different road though as obviously I wouldn’t have a stranger know where I live especially if there were any issues with it. There were lots of sets at a similar price sling with some crazy prices. I don’t know how much it was when it was available at the Lego store. I’m after the Viking village set next and hoping they bring out some How To Train Your Dragon sets when the film comes out in June. The Viking village is hard to find according to the website and it’s not been in the Manchester store for ages.

Wow!

LegoTherapy · 04/04/2025 08:32

According the BrickEconomy it retailed for £259.99 so I’m very happy! It’s worth slightly more now. If I get time I’m going to add up the cost of our sets and then the value. The dds want to know who gets my valuables when I die Hmm I’m 48 ffs. Ds gets upset at the thought of me dying and as the onot Lego fan out of the three of them he’d get my sets obviously because he’s not grabby! Aren’t kids delightful.

Another mothers day gift. I quite enjoyed it. It's bigger than I thought so I've had to put the big Lamborghini away. I really want the botanical garden but I don't think I can squeeze it in.
Maybe when I've saved up I'll have found space.

I've just made a start on the Mercedes F1 car that I got for Christmas. Then the next one in my queue is the Liebherr Crawler Crane that I bought last year and you can drive by remote control using your phone :)

Building them is one of my favourite hobbies - I normally get one for Christmas and then try to save up to buy another one during the year. Anything I win on premium bonds goes straight into my Lego pot!

I've been into the Lego Store at Tivoli in Copenhagen this week. Slightly disappointed that I could have been in my local store as I was hoping there would be models of the Danish flag, Greenland, bacon, pastries etc

This is an Ideas entry waiting to happen!

I took visitors to the London store last week and loved it. Amazing displays and really friendly staff.

I’ve customised my heart wreath for a more spring-like look.

So happy to have found this thread!

I've just finished the bunny from the creator 3in1 set this evening, after making the seal first.
My current big wish list items are the Snow White Cottage and Rivendale. Think I will be able to stretch for the cottage in a couple of months but just can't justify the Rivendale set even though it is absolutely beautiful

bruffin · 14/04/2025 22:25

I made my daffodils tonight, i must get some vases for the rest of them.

It's the kindest thread on AIBU. LTB is short for Love Those Bricks.

My little Easter display minus the sets that sit separately to this.

Getting on with my STEM set and really love the thoughtful little details.

@TheWayTheLightFallsi think I might buy that today. I really like it. My undiagnosed ND saw me do terribly in science exams at school but I do have a BSc in psychology and a nursing post grad diploma plus others but I still feel I failed at school. To me the set represents my love of science and those stolen qualifications. I hope you continue to e joy building it and hope you’ll show us it when finished.

ThisIsMyYearToFindMyself · 17/04/2025 14:30

@TheWayTheLightFalls does it give explanations for everything? I’m not good at science stuff but love the look of that kit.

edited - is that the evolution of stem? Is that part covered over? I don’t see it in the photos on the Lego website.

ThisIsMyYearToFindMyself · 17/04/2025 14:38

@TheWayTheLightFalls I’ve looked into it, it is hidden, and there’s hidden morse code too! I’m definitely getting it at some point this year then.

I was just coming back with a photo of the hidden morse code Grin

The light spectrum is on the other side of the base.

Oh how lovely!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 17/04/2025 17:23

And yes, the instructions include a sentence or two about the invention/individual. And a bio of the fan who developed it, which I love.

LegoTherapy · 17/04/2025 20:08

Ds got carried away in the Lego shop and I forgot about the Stem set 😩 I’ve got £46 of points so I’ll get it next time. Or maybe put those towards the starry night.

JaceLancs · 17/04/2025 20:28

@LegoTherapy the Viking village is currently on offer for £106 at John Lewis - they had 3 in stock at Manchester Trafford centre last Sunday

I just ordered the medieval village to go with my Lion Knight’s castle.

Tiny bit more work on the STEM set - here’s our Easter bunny (not STEM clearly!) posing with the DNA helix I built.

The botanical garden has been messed up by me but I didn’t realise until I did the palm tree and it wouldn’t go in. I’d misaligned part of the base so I’ve had to dismantle right down to the base on that side and don’t know if I can rebuild it like that 😩
