What's going on with vinted?

Is anyone else having issues with Evri not appearing as an option for their buyers? It's definitely enabled in settings.

And also with royal mail being automatically enabled where you can't do anything about it?

Yes!!! I've done a massive upload tonight and 5 of my items have been purchased with royal mail. I've never had that setting turned on before and now I can't turn it off

Same for me 🤦🏻‍♀️ there is no post office near me and I can’t get to one during the week. Hope nobody chooses that option

I think you can choose "collect from me" with Royal Mail? I've only ever done it when I've had a massively heavy parcel though so I don't know if it costs much extra for small items.

Royal Mail will collect from you for free if you can't get to a post office. They will even bring the label

Not sure about any issues with Evri but I notice I can't turn off the Royal mail option either. Have messaged them as I don't want to use RM.

I'm bloody raging with not being able to turn Royal Mail option off, uploaded loads of stuff tonight & folk have chose Royal Mail option, this is a massive hassle for me.
Don't have a printer so even more annoying.

I've had horrendous problems with Evri in the past few days. I've been to 5 different shops to post something and ALL of them have said their machine is out of order. Never had that before.

Has anyone else had trouble in posting Evri items? Might they have turned it off for buyers due to IT issues or something?

You don't need a printer. Royal Mail can collect and will bring the label with them. You just have to buy the postage label online (which admittedly is a bit of a hassle compared to the options where Vinted just sends you the label).

Yes, me! It took me four goes to find an Evri scanner that was working! I had success at a local PO.

I've done loads of buying and selling the last few days and nearly everything has gone through as Evri.

I'm having a different problem though- most of the text has changed to French (it says English in my language settings).

Are they in cahoots with royal mail?

That is a glitch that has been happening on vinted for years.

Usually, if you sign out, then in again, it goes back to English or restart your device.

Otherwise, uninstall and reinstall the app.

Also, check to see if there are any updates to make sure you have the most up to date version.

With RM, you do have to pay in advance, and you are reimbursed when the sale completes.

Had the same issue last week. In a large city, tried a couple of shops then a couple more in nearby town. Then one refused because he ran out of blue slips. I’ve always found Evri really good but there’s something going on with them at the moment for sure.

Just checked and my Royal Mail option has been turned on too! Won’t let me turn it off and I’ve logged in and out 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’ve had loads of problems with the RM free collections before so do not want them to collect!

I've just checked and this has happened to me. There was an issue with EVRI integrated labels not working so things couldn't be posted earlier on in the week.

the problem with RM is you do need a printer unless you can stay in all day, my job involves meetings all over and then unless the person "completes" the order you need to wait for 3/4 weeks for the money, much longer than the others where they can see digitally it's been delivered. So annoying we can't turn it off!

@QueenofFox if it helps. When I use Royal Mail to collect, the postie brings a label. I write the addresses on the parcels and leave them on my doorstep and they collect, pop the stickers on and go without needing me there.

I saw on a Facebook post that Vinted have stopped working with Evri. So might not be an option going forwards

I love using royal mail. I used to work as a postie it was a great job, great company.

They pick up your parcel from your house for free and even bring a label if you want them to. Great option for me now I'm disabled.

Thanks. I'll look into it but I'm not home all the time so could be an issue.

Also, a small parcel in royal mail always costs more to post than what vinted charges buyers for a small parcel so whenever I had to use it, I paid the difference myself.

A few posts offices in our town got shut so I'm not keen in standing in a massive queue with a toddler I'm collecting from nursery after work (the post office is sort off on our way home and there's always a big queue with the other ones getting shut).

This is good. I just don’t like that I’ve to pay for the postage myself and then claim it. I much prefer the buyer paying for the postage at the time of the purchase

Just to say, I've written buyers details by hand before when using RM.
