What's going on with vinted?

Is anyone else having issues with Evri not appearing as an option for their buyers? It's definitely enabled in settings.

And also with royal mail being automatically enabled where you can't do anything about it?

It's very odd, but in the last I have had RM labels from buyers which I've been able to drop off at in post lockers. (I print at home)
But also recently some evri parcels which I've always been able to drop at in post haven't been accepted there! I prefer to use the lockers

Royal Mail option has been reactivated for me and can’t turn it off. I never use RM as it isn’t convenient. Will put me off selling…

I've put myself in holiday mode until they sort this.

Oddly, it's not turned on for everyone. Just did a couple of dummy 'buys' on random items and Royal Mail didn't come up among either of their delivery options.

RM has been turned off for me too, and I can't turn it off.

Has anyone found a way to fix this?

I’m waiting for my latest payments to come through and then I’ll do the same. I don’t want to use Royal Mail

I'm worried they'll just keep RM as a compulsory option. It's probably a permanent change rather than an error 😕

I've contacted them through the app. Maybe they'll do something they're inundated...

Your payments will still come through if you use holiday mode though

I turned Royal Mail off within 3 weeks of starting to sell on Vinted. ( It only seemed to be buyers in Northern Ireland or the Channel Islands that used it.)
Thank goodness I paid the extra to get tracking because buyers just weren't acknowledging receipt of their parcels. I had to message them and say I can see from the tracking that you received your items 10 days ago- please can you Accept on Vinted so that I can get paid.
i just decided to turn the option off to see if it hampered sales.... it didn't. Now it's been switched on without my knowledge and against my will. I might put a note on my Profile - it's visible to buyers if they look, but they probably won't see it anyway- saying I don't actually send by RM.

Sold something which I had set as a LARGE parcel and vinted changed them for a small parcel via RM.

Amazing, I'll be paying the difference myself again. Vinted are absolutely idiots. I contacted them about similar before and the were like 'ask the buyer to transfer you the difference via bank transfer'. Why should I when they're the ones unable to sort their system?

The Vinted guide says if selling by RM to size up. It also says you can't turn it off which seems ridiculous if the sizes aren't compatible

Also, what is a small a small parcel via evri etc, will not be a small parcel on RM so I had to increase size of all parcels.

Annoyed by what happened with the last thing I sold and the fact I'll have to cover the difference myself again, I just deleted everything and I'm not longer selling on vinted.

But I had it set as large!
And they only charged the buyer £3.68 for postage when in reality this means I'll have to pay £2 out of pocket.

Even a small second class parcel costs more than £3.68.

Don't put it in your profile, as most won't check there. Put it in the item description for every item. People will read it there.

I was thinking about doing this.

Mine always swaps between French and English, have tried to work out why but can't- I do know what 'ask seller' and 'buy now' is in French! Funnily enough when I was on holiday in France it was in english!

It says at the bottom of the postage options page now that ‘some settings cannot be turned off’ - Wtaf!!! I HATE using Royal Mail. It’s not worth my time to go to the Post Office and the collection doesn’t work for me either, and I don’t have a printer. I have only used Inpost lockers as they’re brilliant for me and so quick.
so stupid. I’ve given feedback and I won’t sell any more til it’s sorted as I just can’t be arsed with the hassle. What a shame.

Thanks op, appreciate the heads up. Mine has also been activated with no option to turn off. I cannot use RM and find the system for that service completely impractical. I am selling my kids old clothes, not making big bucks!
I have put it in holiday mode for now and will send stroppy feedback.
This happened before in the summer when they activated all the postage options. I think they backtracked after a week or so?
Maybe if I get a chance later I will go through and add a sentence about not using RM as I cannot post and will cancel the order to each listing.
Why break something that actually worked?! Do they want to send more business to eBay now they’ve changed their fees?

The RM option seems to be a different "shade" of green to the options I've actually selected.

Not sure what that means?

Also just wanted to check with the inpost options? Do I need to print anything or is it all fine by QR code?

It means That you can’t unselect it

No printer needed with in post. You scan a QR code, leave the parcel in and courier will label your parcel when they pick it up.

But how on Earth did they think it's okay to enforce this onto people?
