Hi

Is anyone else having issues with Evri not appearing as an option for their buyers? It's definitely enabled in settings.

And also with royal mail being automatically enabled where you can't do anything about it?

No printer needed with in post. You scan a QR code, leave the parcel in and courier will label your parcel when they pick it up.

This is only if they select collection. If they select delivery at their house then you’ve to print the label

TwistedWonder · 05/10/2024 11:50

Thank you for this thread. I’ve just checked mine as refuse to use RM due to previous issues and mine is now there and unable to switch off.

Ive added a comment to my items saying please don’t choose RM and I’ve messaged Vinted saying I want it turned off

If anyone chooses the RM option I’ll have to cancel the sale so it’s wasting both buyer and sellers time.

OrigamiOwls · 05/10/2024 12:04

I've just checked mine and RM is now compulsory. I've switched on holiday mode and raised a issue with Vinted. Got an automatic message saying they have a large volume of queries at this time and they will get back to me, clearly they are inundated this morning 😂

Not all couriers are available in all areas, so they will not be visible to some buyers.

Royal mail is able to be used by almost everyone to send and receive, so this is probably vinteds thinking.

Also, not all couriers carry all items - you would not be due compensation if something was broken, the seller is meant to read each carrier T&Cs with vinted to check, so that can be another reason some items don't have a courier option available.

Vinted do not allow you to disable some options as they say you need to have one courier option always available to buyers.

There is a feedback form if you click on profile and scroll to the bottom to fill in.

You could try legal @ vinted . co. uk (no spaces)

This will probably be another trial of something they never tell anyone it is happening and will probably disappear as quickly as it appeared.

With all due respect, I've been using vinted for quite a while so I am more than aware of things written in your message.

Do appreciate it's taken you a while to type it up though.

Eugh. Mine is on too. I always lose money on royal mail as the parcel always weighs more than vinted charges.

Sellers can only enable 'in post locked delivery' and this won't happen.
In post home delivery is a separate option 😊

But how on Earth did they think it's okay to enforce this onto people?

And with no warning! I would never have known without this thread. I've gone on holiday mode and that'll be the end of me selling on vinted. Maybe good timing that eBay have got rid of their fees?

EverybodyWantsTo · 05/10/2024 13:09

There's no in post near me so evri was the only viable option for me.

forevercurious · 05/10/2024 13:19

I have the same issue and have reported this as feedback. Will also be adding it to my item descriptions going forward, although I probably should change the descriptions for the items already on there!

Itsaboutvinted · 05/10/2024 13:22

It's good that some people can still see Evri as an option. Like I said, none of my items could be sold through Evri. Just deleted them all.

OP posts:
phoenixrosehere · 05/10/2024 13:26

No.

Buyers are usually Evri, Yodel, or InPost for me so far.

Itsaboutvinted · 06/10/2024 12:23

I've officially had enough of vinted 🙈 bought something for DC and it came with a massive rip in it. Described as 'very good' and no mention of this rip in the description.
Sending it back would be as much as the item itself as the buyer has to pay for postage even if it's seller's fault.

Not really, tho it’s up to the seller. I sold something a few weeks ago the buyer said the size wasn’t the right one. I decided to pay for the postage despite I could have said not my problem as the put the size of the label.

if it’s broken then you should be refunded regardless

You can ask the seller to send you a label if it’s faulty. I did recently. A dress described as excellent condition had 5 separate pulls/catches, 1 right across the front so I raised an issue, sent photos as evidence and requested they send me a return label

Itsaboutvinted · 06/10/2024 12:41

That's not the sort of seller you can compromise with though.

I bought one of those things that get sold within minutes of uploading so stupidly, I didn't have time to check her reviews only read item description. She had quite a few negative reviews but for not completing orders rather than items being dodgy. She ghosted me after I messaged her.

I've already sewn it all back together now so all good just taking a break from vinted 🤣

Newtrix · 06/10/2024 13:05

As previously mentioned there's an option to send feedback. Hopefully the more people that do this the more they'll realise how ridiculous it is.

Mamafach · 06/10/2024 21:27

My options changed without my knowledge on Friday. Only realised when two sales had RM postage which I knew I’d disabled. I’ve put on holiday mode and sent message to Vinted to sort it out. This was the response earlier:

Unfortunately, the shipping option Royal Mail cannot be disabled due to your location settings. Please indicate in your profile and listing descriptions that you are unable to choose this shipping option. This way, your buyers will be aware that you are unable to ship packages with the Royal Mail carrier.

I’ve amended loads of my listings, however, I’ve now been informed by a potential buyer they only have RM option to pick! Staying on HM and hope it gets sorted. I don’t want to use RM so 🤞

drspouse · 07/10/2024 11:08

I opted for Yodel and the seller said she's nowhere near a Yodel shop. Not sure if she'd accidentally selected it or if it was a glitch, but I'd have been happy to change the shipping except there is no way to do that without cancelling the sale and rebuying.

I am Vinteds biggest fan but had this exact issue with a coat I bought for DD last week. Described as very good, the exact John Lewis coat I was looking for. And a rip at the back. To be honest I can't be arsed with sending back so I just messaged her with pictures and gave her a bad review.

LuLuRN · 07/10/2024 11:36

I have managed to disable the Royal Mail option this morning.

SchoolNightWine · 07/10/2024 11:37

I haven't used Vinted for a couple of months, so just logged back in and got an updated user agreement I had to agree to before proceeding to the main site.
I then checked my postage settings and I was able to turn off the Royal Mail option.
Anyone else able to turn it off today? Maybe all of your feedback over the last few days has worked!

ItsAllTooMuch4Lisa · 07/10/2024 11:38

Hoorah ! I’ve been able to turn off Royal Mail this morning- now just waiting to see if my buyers can see Evri as an option ! It’s the only one I can use and despite being selected over the weekend buyers said it wasn’t showing

VanCleefArpels · 07/10/2024 11:47

Thanks for this heads up - I’ve been able to disable Royal Mail just now so perhaps they’ve listened!

Itsaboutvinted · 07/10/2024 11:49

I've been able to switch it off too.
