Sara Cox please just stop!!!

I've heard her put on a weird voice and repeatedly say, 20+ times, Scooby Dooby Doo in said weird voice. Turned off and 10 minutes later went into a shop that had Radio 2 on and she was still doing it. FFS she's paid a fortune for that nonsense and we're paying through the licence fee.

I followed Ken. I have not regretted it.
The adverts annoy me less than Ball, Mills, Cox and Paige.

I just listen to Sounds of the 80s on Sounds from R2 now.

I followed Ken too.
I’ve never listened to Sara Cox and I can’t bear Zoe.
Is Richie still about? Ken just about tolerated him, it was so obvious 😄

Same. I can't bear listening to her drone on and on and on and the god awful members of the public they get on aren't any better. I just turn over these days.

Scott Mills has a similar effect on me.

I wish they would shut the fuck up and just play the bloody songs.

Cox is great! The music on Radio 2 is so bland and old fashioned though, I don't really listen to it. In my 40s, not 80s!!

I’m in my mid 40s, I personally think the mix of music on radio 2 is good - they play a lot of current releases as well as everything from the 1960s-2010s. Yes there isn’t much “alternative” stuff but there never is on mainstream radio anyway.

Can’t believe Radio 2 replaced the great Chris Evans with Zoe Ball. I don’t mind Sara Cox-but she’s better on TV. I really enjoyed the dating show with all the slightly awkward farmers. She was warm and funny.

I loathed Chris in the 90s but love him now. If I listen to a breakfast show, it's Chris. Love his enthusiasm for life!

Radio 2 has made some dubious choices in recent years, I migrated over at about 30 from R1, now 45, it was great back then Terry, Ken, Jeremy Vine, Wrighty, Simon Mayo and then different eclectic stuff in the evenings, such as for example Desmond Carrington, who was a gent from a completely different era of broadcasting c 1950!

Sadly Terry, Steve Wright and Desmond are no longer with us, to be fair Vernon is settling in OK, but Scott Mills, I'm sure he's a nice fellow but I can't get used to his show😕

I totally agree with you. Really love Dermot. And the little chat he has with Tony Blackburn beforehand is an absolute delight. Both very gentle and very funny men.

LOVE Sara Cox - I find her sharp, funny and great company when cooking the tea. I'm from the North so her voice sounds perfectly fine to me.

Also love Vernon Kay.

Cannot stand Scott Mills; he's no replacement for Wrighty. I switch to Virgin at 2pm each day. Can't stand Zoe Ball either. Love Liza Tarbuck, Rylan and EP.

Radio 2 is always on in my house, except for 2 til 4 pm. I'm not up early enough for the Ball. But, Chris Evans I do like on Virgin so i'd go to him instead. If i was up.

I just can't listen to Radio 2. It's all shit. Radio 4, Absolute, X or Classic Fm on rotation depending on what mood I'm in. The only thing I've ever caught on Radio 2 worth a listen is Craig Charles, just because he has good taste in music.

Sara Cox is brilliant - a genuinely lovely, warm, relatable presenter who does a great job.
If you don't enjoy her show, there are other options, but why the need to be mean about her accent, the words she chooses or the music she plays?
She's a delightful human being who, alongside her job and raising a family, does incredible work for charities.
