Posting here for quickness. Please delete if you want when I have answer. Please tell me how many pads I need to go to a and e? I've forgotten.

Gestational sac out with baby inside.

Now large clots and heavy bleeding. On pad 3 in half an hour with lots of clots.

Not sure if just leave an hour and see if settles.

Wasn't bleeding much before sac came out. Think it's all the lining coming now.

Epas shut and keen to avoid emergency department on a Friday night if I can.

I’d be panicking as I know nothing about miscarriage so I’d go anyway. Sorry xx

TheShellBeach · 06/09/2024 19:24

So sorry.
You do need an ambulance with that degree of bleeding.

It's one pad soaked an hour which is a lot less than you're passing.
I'd dial 999.

TheShellBeach · 06/09/2024 19:25

BTW I'm a midwife and I've had a lot of miscarriages myself.

Yellowted · 06/09/2024 19:26

This happened to me at the end of July.

You need to phone the hospital, you could potentially haemorrhage.

My bleeding was very much like you described and I needed additional intervention, but I called my EPU ward and so had no wait in A and E.

HerewegoagainSS · 06/09/2024 19:28

Oh heavens so sorry OP. Don’t sit it out, go to hospital now or you will feel so weak and potentially collapse. How far gone were you?
Horrible as it sounds, take whatever you have passed with you so doctors can check it has all come out.

Sending best wishes to you.

LostTheMarble · 06/09/2024 19:30

Please go to A and E. I ended up in a very bad way after a similar MC and (sorry to be scary), it’s the only time in my life I genuinely thought I wasn’t going to make it. My partner at the time walked into quite a scene in our bathroom and made me go to the hospital. Didn’t need an intervention in the end but when I told the doctor I was being dramatic thinking I was going to die, they very seriously told me that it could have easily gone down a bad route and it’s always best to get checked.

I'm so glad you are going OP. I hope you are as OK as you can be.

JC03745 · 06/09/2024 19:32

How far along are you OP? Can someone take you to the hospital? I too would be going to A&E with that degree of bleeding.
Have you had any MC's before? Sorry if TMI, but if you've had 2 before, I'd take the products with you and ask for genetic testing. Flowers

Sorry for your loss op. Glad you're going to the hospital it doesn't sound like a normal amount to be passing

IVFmumoftwo · 06/09/2024 19:38

Yeah had one at ten weeks. Went through three big maternity pads in minutes. Resorted to a towel as I staggered from the bathroom. Luckily it slowed very quickly. Glad you are going to the hospital. Sounds like the best place.

Elphamouche · 06/09/2024 19:41

So sorry OP. Glad you’re going to hospital, way too much bleeding.

Sorry you're going through this. Hope they are helpful at the hospital.
Keep us updated (if you want to, especially if there are boring waits at the hospital)

Daisybuttercup12345 · 06/09/2024 20:20

I am so sorry xxxx

Maray1967 · 06/09/2024 20:32

So very sorry, OP. Had 3 myself between my two DC, but none were as heavy as yours sounds. My DM did though and she went to hospital.

You’re in the right place. Hope you can get some rest.

💐

GinAndGooseberries · 06/09/2024 20:38

Thanks so much. It's our miracle ivf baby. We found out last week no heartbeat and have been waiting at home since which was a hellish wait.

Was so "pleased" if that makes sense that baby in sac came out fully at home as we want to bury baby in garden. But then the crazy bleeding and massive clots started after.

Got a canula in and had bloods and urine sample which was 90% blood in a tub!!!!!! Waiting for gynae dr to come. Feel safer here.

Pain still bad but I hope easing. I really want to avoid an operation if possible.
