To feel guilty about ordering from Amazon three times in a week

I just ordered something now I want something else. Not expensive stuff. But I think somebody has to deliver that and I should have done them all together, I've got Prime. It's an extravagance but quite handy. I haven't done my third order yet because of guilt!

Hell I do
Three times in one day sometimes!

They usually batch the deliveries together.

FrenchFancie · 08/08/2024 10:20

Well you’re keeping the delivery driver and warehouse people in jobs….

Lilliesandjasmine · 08/08/2024 10:20

Huh? Are you bored and over thinking?

gamerchick · 08/08/2024 10:21

It's more irritating for the person having to wait in for them.

Himawarigirl · 08/08/2024 10:21

Unless you need the items immediately you can select ‘Amazon day delivery’ and they keep the items across a week for you and bring them together, or twice a week if that’s what you prefer. And you can set your ‘Amazon day’.

ButWhatAboutTheBees · 08/08/2024 10:22

Why are you even questioning it?

Do you worry about getting letters via Royal Mail more than once a week?
Visiting a store more than once a week, after all you could have just brought everything in one go and then they wouldn't have had to scan your shopping more than once/restock the shelves twice?

Both I think!

My estate every day there's an amazon delivery van - so what ever I do they are still here - and often park up and walk to several houses.

Even if you do buy at same time and bunch together sometimes delays mean they still come in different deliveries.

HumanBurrito · 08/08/2024 10:23

Yes you should. You probably don't need whatever it is anyway. Reduce, reuse, recycle. Amazon are terrible employers and think of all the pollution caused by individual deliveries and packaging.

BeyondMyWits · 08/08/2024 10:24

We are decorating - first time in 20 years! - so you can imagine our ordering at the moment. We got an email yesterday asking if we want to start a business account 😮

OneCandidShark · 08/08/2024 10:24

What? - I have multiple Amazon orders delivered often daily.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 08/08/2024 10:26

Me too the other day - both were things I could almost certainly have bought locally, but had mistakenly left them off an extensive list, and with so much Stuff going on I just couldn’t BA to go into town again.

ThingsgetbetterwithalittlebitofRazzmatazz · 08/08/2024 10:27

I always think they're generally coming to my neighbour anyway so they might as well come to me too! But you can choose an amazon day and get it all delivered once per week if you don't actually need it next day.

crumpet · 08/08/2024 10:28

If it helps you, you can take the view that it’s better for the environment to group them . Very few things we order are actually urgent, and can easily wait a few days.

yeesh · 08/08/2024 10:29

Just order what you need, that’s why you have prime

Ponoka7 · 08/08/2024 10:29

If your stuff hasn't been delivered, they usually ask if you want to combine the delivery. There's attitudes towards certain employers on here, but people need those jobs and don't mind doing them.

Lovingsummers · 08/08/2024 10:33

Three times in a week? I've done more than that. Which reminds me, there's a little thing I needed to order for delivery tomorrow.

Octavia64 · 08/08/2024 10:35

I keep getting emails saying do I want a business account.

No, I'm not a business.

I'm. Severely disabled and it's very inconvenient to go to shops.

Viviennemary · 08/08/2024 18:29

I ordered. Don't feel so bad now!

Helloworld56 · 08/08/2024 18:33

I get Amazon deliveries nearly every day.
You get more choice on Amazon - far more choice than in physical shops, which often don't have what I want.

LonelyInDville · 08/08/2024 18:37

I order from Amazon at least three times a week. I try to group all my orders together. I also recycle the boxes that they come in which makes me feel a little better about it

goodkidsmaadhouse · 08/08/2024 18:41

This thread blows my mind. What are people buying that regularly requires multiple orders a week?!?

LlynTegid · 08/08/2024 18:42

Have you tried getting some things locally. Even if you pay a little bit more.

Clueless2024 · 08/08/2024 18:44

Can you afford it or are you using things like Afterpay (or similar)?

Personally I don't see an issue, if you can afford it...

Apileofballyhoo · 08/08/2024 18:45

It seems they treat employees dreadfully so I rarely use amazon at all. Occasionally if there is some item I absolutely can't source elsewhere. I don't even find that what they sell is cheaper than elsewhere.
