To be really freaked out about seeing someone that wasn’t there??

My partners mum, step-dad, brother and 2 nieces are on holiday at the seaside so to we took our little one for the a day trip to have a beach day with his cousins today.

As we were driving into where they are staying and my partner was packing I said to him ‘I didn’t know your whole family was here’ when I saw his grandma standing next to his mum. He must have assumed that I was talking about his stepdad as he didn’t respond to it in a weird way/ask what I meant.

Then when we were inside I asked where his grandma had gone and where she was sleeping as they only have 2 bedrooms. Well it turns out that she isn’t there and is at home and I couldn’t have seen her because she’s not there??

What on earth happened?? What/who did I see?? Am I crazy now? 🙈

Erm has anyone called his grandma and checked she's okay?!

Don't mean to freak you out but my friend saw her Dad in her living room as she walked in from work which wasn't a shock as he'd been decorating, she walked past the living room door, saw him and carried on to the kitchen to put her bag down and shouted "hi dad do you want a cuppa?" No reply and she went to see him and he wasn't there. She called his mobile no answer, he'd actually had a heart attack and collapsed and died at his house in the morning.

Oh gosh. That's more than a bit wierd.

I have no explanation, sorry. But I don't think you're crazy.

I was going to say the same thing. I'm very skeptical but I'd have been on the phone to granny ASAP.

I've heard of things happening like that as well amd other weird things when people have died and you don't know yet.

It's probably a trick of the mind though OP. You probably would have heard if granny had passed away by now. Might just have been a twinkle.

My gran was in our kitchen, except she wasn't she had died earlier that day. Early 7Os
and we had no phone.

I would definitely be checking on granny.
When my DH died, before we even knew he was missing my then 4yo DS saw him. He said “Daddy’s walked through the wall but the walls not broken. Isn’t that strange?”
Found out later that evening he wasn’t in work as I’d thought and he had actually died.

Im sure granny is perfectly fine and you’re just having a funny 5 minutes but I’d be checking in on her.

Agree I’ve heard stories of this when the person has died… phone and check pronto!

Check on Granny! My mum ‘saw’ my nanna (Dad’s mum) walking across her landing on the night she died.

My Grandad was suddenly in my car when we were going to Boulogne. I saw a single magpie fly up, skim across the car and my grandad vanished. I learned later my grandad died at roughly the time the magpie appeared.

Sort of. When you think of someone and you get a call from them moments later type of stuff.

Keep a note of any similar things happening or anything else odd, with a view to seeing your GP if it continues.

My nan saw her brother when she was on holiday, except he was at home. They later found out he’d died at the time she saw him.

Hopefully Granny’s fine, but doesn’t hurt to check.

Maybe your brain went a bit smooshy in the heat!

Check on Granny for sure, but if she's fine, drink plenty of water tonight, and stay in the shade tomorrow.
