To be a bit freaked out about this mystery poo?

We got home after being out all day and I went upstairs and found a poo in the toilet. When I was back downstairs I asked dp if he could check next time to make sure his poo had been flushed away. Dp said it wasn’t his and that when he had been for a wee earlier (he came in to get spare clothes for ds and we stayed in the car) there had been nothing in the toilet.
So where has this mystery poo come from? We were out for 4/5 hours after he had gone back in earlier in the day.

There was a similar thread a while ago, long story short it turned out someone was living in the attic.

Great 😬 Dp has also said that he’s never felt comfortable in this house and when we moved in I thought I could hear noises upstairs all the time 🫣

It was probably trapped in the U bend and just got dislodged as it disintegrated a bit.

Nothing seems to be missing 🤔

Would have been brown water from poo "bleed" if it had been a log in the u bend.

Not necessarily, especially if it was lodged just past it.

We had this problem many years ago before we got a new toilet and pipes.

Has it been windy where you are? Sometimes when it’s very windy here I find paper or solids can come back up into my toilet bowl

The only people that we know of who have a key is the agency/lanndlord

Message your landlord asking if they have been in don't mention the poo just say a neighbour saw someone and your just checking if they say no ask if you can put up CCTV

definitely could have been hiding/not flushed properly. Specially if it was a floatier one than usual.
