Been in two houses this week. No windows open. Bloody stuffy, makes me feel uncomfortable.
I always open my windows and can't stand sitting in a room or a house where there is no fresh air.
I know it's cold in the winter but at this time of year I can't stand it.
🙄
Get the window open . Lol.

OK

BashfulClam · 04/07/2024 22:37

Mil can’t reach her windows as they are opened high up so I’d rather she didn’t fall.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 04/07/2024 22:38

Lol?

You're easily amused.

BlowDryRat · 04/07/2024 22:38

Are you a burglar?

TheOriginalEmu · 04/07/2024 22:38

No thanks. I want the pollen outside where it belongs!

MrWatzisname · 04/07/2024 22:39

Flies.

HungryLittleCrocodile · 04/07/2024 22:40

Umm here's a radical suggestion.

Ask them to open a window for you ... Confused

tillyandmilly · 04/07/2024 22:40

We always have all our windows open as top floor flat and always hot !

skippy67 · 04/07/2024 22:40

I'm with you OP, but I live with 3 hay fever sufferers. Whenever I open a window my Dd wails " why are you trying to kill me?!"

No word of a lie, I was about to reply, ‘Pollen? But it’s winter’ — and then I remembered it isn’t winter, it is just an incredibly cold and grey July 😭

AloeVerity · 04/07/2024 22:41

Always have the windows locked open a crack. Summer and winter. You’d be ok at my house, OP!

JumpstartMondays · 04/07/2024 22:42

I open windows at night to let the hot air out and cool air in. I keep windows shut in the day to keep the hot air out.

Keeps the house cooler.

DrCoconut · 04/07/2024 22:44

We have to be careful opening windows as our cat isn't allowed out for health reasons.

Tryingtokeepgoing · 04/07/2024 22:44

It’s been warm here…to keep the house cool its better for me to keep windows / blinds closed, and then open at night. If it’s a little cooler then opening the windows on the north / east side is fine. But unless it’s less than 22/24 degrees outside I’m keeping the southerly / westerly windows closed thanks!

kikisparks · 04/07/2024 22:45

It’s freezing here, I have my heating on. Not opening the windows to heat outside.

TwattyMcFuckFace · 04/07/2024 22:45

BlowDryRat · 04/07/2024 22:38

Are you a burglar?

Brilliant! 🤣🤣

GingerPirate · 04/07/2024 22:52

Absolutely.
And don't get me started on households with dogs.

CleanShirt · 04/07/2024 22:53

Are you hoping they're on here and will take the hint?

Hankunamatata · 04/07/2024 22:54

I air my house. Love open windows and air circulating. Dh hats it and closes all the windows. The battle of the bedroom window is an ongoing saga

girlfriend44 · 04/07/2024 23:00

Windows were meant for opening.
How people can cook without the kitchen window open I don't know.
How people can not open their bathroom window I don't know.
Must smell without any air circulating.

Flaskfan · 04/07/2024 23:02

Freezing and windy here. No chance.

Mowyourlawn · 04/07/2024 23:02

Nothing more than the latch in my house. I have kittens and they love launching themselves out of the window so I have to chase them round the lawn to get them back inside. Plus it’s chilly, I’ve had a hoodie on all day.

MintTwirl · 04/07/2024 23:04

I’m with you OP. First thing I do in the morning is open up the windows a little and the back door for 10-15 minutes at least. I only don’t do it when it’s blowing a gale or below zero.
I hate it on busses when people close all the windows, let the air in ffs!

brunettemic · 04/07/2024 23:04

Maybe the people you visit are all the ones whining on here about kids playing out and, crime of all crimes, making noise.

Yes! We are the same.
