What is the point of breasts?

Kjones27 · 07/03/2024 20:07

I have absolutely massive breasts. They are huge. And I'm only five foot 3.

They are so heavy. They are so hard to dress. I considered a breast reduction at one point but I decided I couldn't put myself through the surgery.

They are so heavy and huge.

And they just seem utterly pointless..their main reason to exist is to feed babies. I have never had children and never will have any. I don't want them.

I just think what's the point of them. I'm sure I read somewhere that most mammals only develop breasts after they have children.
That humans are very unusual to develop breasts and keep them for life.

It is odd that they come in different sizes considering they do the same job.

I’m a size aa but breastfed both my children for 2 years each, whereas I have a friend who has big boobs but struggled to produce enough milk. It doesn’t make sense… hers surely should have been more efficient than mine

It's ro do with the number of milk ducts, not size. You either have eight or twenty I believe.

OneMoreTime23 · 07/03/2024 20:12

Evolutionary biology suggests we develop them to attract a mate. When we were on all fours our backsides attracted males. When we started to walk on 2 legs that became awkward so we started developing breasts, whuch were more convenient, being on the front.

I understand that, but it’s odd that smaller boobs can have more milk ducts when their sole purpose is to provide milk

Please explain?

The fat cells that the majority of the boob is comprised of don’t produce milk. That’s a separate system which isn’t predicated on the size of the boobs.

Geneti · 07/03/2024 20:14

I’m with you @Kjones27 (although I did breastfeed).

They are a fucking pain. Mine are anywhere between 34G and 36 gg/h depending on the shop.

They weigh a ton, bras cost a fortune, they migrate under my arms or down to my knees, they don’t fit in clothes and they just need to sod off!

It’s not their sole focus.

SuperMaria · 07/03/2024 20:14

@PanadTe good point!

Other body parts like lips, ears, whatever don't have much variation yet there is such massive variation in breast size.

I have a friend with a very large bust. She was so upset that she had spent so many years carting them about and they proved to be useless to feed her babies.

OneMoreTime23 · 07/03/2024 20:15

I’m a 36J. Produced a ton of milk but Dd couldn’t get it out. Had to express all of her milk. Didn’t shrink afterwards.
i like my boobs. 🤷🏻‍♀️

But that’s what I’m saying… why is that?

User14March · 07/03/2024 20:15

Size often depends on your BMI, they’re fat storers.

It’s not their sole focus.

No, the rest of their purpose is to be a fucking pain.

I don’t understand your question.

Buttocks don’t determine how big your 💩 is.

OneMoreTime23 · 07/03/2024 20:14

It’s not their sole focus.

Attracting a mate seems like an odd purpose due to varying sizes having no effect on feeding.

rainbowbee · 07/03/2024 20:17

They're mostly fat too. Why do some people (me) have every extra gram of fat go onto already large boobs whilst other people get it on their bum etc. I had proportionately large boobs when I was technically underweight. It's a conundrum ok 🤣

But i know some people who are thin with big boobs

PickledMumion · 07/03/2024 20:18

I'm very jealous of my friends who had lovely little boobs, and grew a spectacular pair whilst pregnant/breastfeeding, which then shrank back down again once finished with. This seems like a very sensible system.

Yeah I'm about a size 12-14 now. But one time when I was really thin, i was a size 8, I still had really big boobs

I understand your frustration OP. I’ve just been crying to the doctors today because I can no longer take the back pain caused by my boobs. I went through puberty early so had big boobs way too young. I’ll never be able to forget how I was made to feel about it. Boys my age bullied me and interrogated me about them, fully grown men leered and cat called me every time I went outside in anything more revealing than a baggy shirt. I’ve been fetishised and ashamed of them my whole life and been dealing with the physical and emotional pain way too long. They grew massively when I was pregnant, I couldn’t breastfeed and I got mastitis, so they swelled even more and it was so painful. Once they went down and I lost the baby weight I’ve been left with saggy spaniel’s ears and now the shame is even worse. They’re still so heavy, except now they’re almost down to my belly button. The pressure on my posture is immense. I have so much loose skin I can pick them up by it. I’m honestly at the end of my tether. Sorry if that’s tmi I just had to get it off my chest! (pardon the pun)

User14March · 07/03/2024 20:20

@PanadTe yes, absolutely, but if you’re very overweight etc boobs generally not tiny. If we put on weight, they get bigger.

DistinguishedSocialCommentator · 07/03/2024 20:20

It is what is is, we are all different and that is a fact.

I don’t understand your question.

Buttocks don’t determine how big your 💩 is.

Your buttocks has nothing to do with shit at all, let alone size.
