To think no-one in real life has ever walked around in a boyfriend's shirt the morning after?

Standard movie trope of morning after a romp. Woman wandering around in the man's work shirt making coffee and looking sexy.

Has anyone actually done this in real life? I've had my fair share of romps and this has definitely never come up. Maybe I never dated enough men who wore shirts?

😂

Fraaahnces · 12/02/2024 14:36

Not when I was young, single and sexy. Now I’m old, married, flabulous and CBA, I often nick DH’s t-shirts to wear to bed. Morning after? Ha!

Sauvblanctime · 12/02/2024 14:36

I wear his clothes, but not his work shirts 🤣🤣

Allthewallsarewhite · 12/02/2024 14:37

No literally never.

Yaddayaddayadda12345 · 12/02/2024 14:37

I'd say it's possible to end up at someone's house and need something to wear to bed/next day, but nowadays it's more likely a baggy t-shirt or a hoody!

betterangels · 12/02/2024 14:39

I used to steal their hoodies to wear ... does that count?

Turmerictolly · 12/02/2024 14:41

😂 I have but I was young and a lot slimmer and in fact 'stole' it to wear for quite a long time afterwards. It was red gingham and I loved it.

CroccyWoccy · 12/02/2024 14:42

Wearing a t-shirt to bed doesn't count because you don't dress for bed post-romp. Mysteriously still wearing your bra, maybe. Or wandering around wearing a crisp white sheet to cover your modesty.

If the shoe was on the other foot I'd be raging if someone took my clean, ironed shirt to wear around the house and a bit grossed out if they'd used one I'd already worn so never done it myself.

Sauvblanctime · 12/02/2024 14:43

Tbh his wardrobe is now ‘our’ wardrobe 😈🤣

Did you wear it to make coffee and have sexy tanned legs?

Guaranteed the lovely shirt would soon be covered in yoghurt or coffee or whatever I had for breakfast. I’m not known to waft elegantly through life. I’m more of a garden gnome.

CormorantStrikesBack · 12/02/2024 14:45

My dd definitely does but she’s a walking instagram cliche 😂

89redballoons · 12/02/2024 14:45

I have never done it. I do remember years and years ago a male friend telling me his girlfriend had done it and he was very much a fan. The girlfriend was very petite and slim so could probably pull this look off pretty well - I know I would struggle to get into my DH's shirts.

Itslegitimatesalvage · 12/02/2024 14:46

I have. Especially if I hadn’t prepared to stay over and need something to wear whilst having breakfast, washing and brushing teeth etc before getting dressed again and heading home.
if it’s chilly, I’ve also stolen one to sleep in.

I used to! Not so much anymore. A little bit older, little less slim and don’t bother with the tan anymore!

LizzieSiddal · 12/02/2024 14:48

I’ve done it, several times 😂

FatArse123 · 12/02/2024 14:48

OP I have wondered exactly the same thing. I don't wear a blokes shirt after a shag, and neither do my friends (that I asked).

MaMisled · 12/02/2024 14:48

I was just saying this to DH last night!!!! It's annoyed me for years!!!! I asked DH if he thought it was sexy and he said no.

CrushingOnRubies · 12/02/2024 14:49

I've pinched my dp's hoodie on occasion

I've trained him so he makes me a cup of tea in the morning without him getting out of bed. 😁 so I don't need to get dressed at all and stay in bed

Vroomfondleswaistcoat · 12/02/2024 14:50

No. The 'nipples poking out from under the hem' look would put the bloke off forever after.

I'm tall with boobs and have definitely never dated anyone where there's been a big enough differential in height or chest measurement for it to even be a viable option TBH.

Don’t forget about the L shaped sheets . The ones that cover the woman to the neck but expose the man’s tanned abs. Watch out for them. My husband pointed it out years ago and now I can’t unsee it. I watched mission impossible the other night and sure enough, there they were in all their tanned, muscled glory.

BertieBotts · 12/02/2024 14:52

Yeah you steal their hoodies, not their shirts!

I clearly am of the wrong generation and/or never had the experience of dating/shagging someone who had previously been wearing a shirt.

If I did this BTW it would be 1 part on purpose because I knew it would be attractive and I wanted to tease them. 1 part because women's clothes tend to be tight and not that comfortable to squeeze back into, whereas men's are loose and comfy, and 1 part because if you have a single men's outfit as your option to dress two people, it makes sense to give the bloke the bottoms/leave him topless, and the woman the top, which will probably just look like a very short dress in terms of decency.

(Also if you fancy a bloke then having his hoodie to take home is amazing because it smells of him and men's hoodies are so much nicer and cosier than women's)

I am wearing DH's hoodie right now Blush but it came out of my wardrobe because I have "borrowed" so many of his hoodies that he never wears them any more and they are effectively mine now...

Bookist · 12/02/2024 14:52

DD wears her boyfriend's shirts and hoodies all the time and looks stunning. Probably helps that he's a burly 6 ft 5 inches and she's very pretty.

If I wore DH's clothes I'd look like I was homeless.
