Not new news I know. It's highly unlikely that if you were being sent into high security prisons to work alone with men who had committed the sort of crimes against women that this man had, you wouldn't know what he was inside for, but even if you didn't know he bludgeoned a lone woman to death in a sexually motivated murder, wtf are you doing having sex with prisoners anyway?

What on earth goes on inside the heads of women who have sex with people like this in high security prisons?

Innocent victim, or fully aware of what she was doing? I mean honestly, what the actual fuck?

Cue all the abusive posts about victim blaming....

I just don’t see why women work in men’s prisons, and vice versa, where they can come into contact like that. I’m pretty sure a female prison officer got pregnant by an inmate.

DixiePeach · 27/01/2024 08:12

He’s disgusting. Just this week I listened to a podcast about what he did to poor Zara. This is shocking.

WandaWonder · 27/01/2024 08:13

A woman can possibly be responsible for her own actions as extremely rare that is, no I don't get the 'innocent victim' line

I am speaking of the prison worker

Mayorq · 27/01/2024 08:21

I don't think you can class someone in a position of authority having sex with someone under her authority as a victim (unless of course something was revealed around him threatening or coercing her), its a serious breach of ethics that could have placed herself, her colleagues or other prisoners in danger and left her very susceptible to being influenced to disregard other prison rules.

I was being ironic. If you stick around a while it won't take long before someone wheels that line out.

Agreed. She’s vile.

Queijo · 27/01/2024 08:23

Honestly I think some women are so desperate for male attention they’ll ignore anything - even men who commit these disgusting acts - just so they feel ‘wanted’.

It has to be a self-esteem issue, or perhaps growing up with abuse? I can’t see any mentally healthy person thinking anything along these lines.

Thinkbiglittleone · 27/01/2024 08:24

How is she being seen as a victim?
It doesn't appear to say she was forced or coerced into this.

If, of her own free will, she did this, then yes, I think it is disgusting to even want to be intimate with a man capable of that, how women can see past these crimes men commit is beyond me. I haven't seen her side of the story so that may put done context to it, but at this point, I am with you OP, I just don't understand it.

No, just a twisted part of them that enjoys being with a ‘dangerous’ man. Same as women who date gangsters, drug dealers etc.

Some people are just twisted and enjoy sick thrills.

HeadNW · 27/01/2024 08:25

That’s really shocking. This woman is clearly a twisted, abusive individual, too.

I also don’t understand how a dangerous man like this is even allowed contact with females, or any bloody leisure time. Sicko.

pickledandpuzzled · 27/01/2024 08:32

I sometimes think we do in fact ned a register of people with bad attitudes. A ‘wrongthink’ register for people who say and do things that show lack of basic decency or compassion.

Attraction to dangerous men, as a PP says, would get you on my list.

It not people’s thoughts and feelings that are the issue, but that they are prepared to stand by those thoughts and even act on them.

I think sex offenders should be castrated with rusty secateurs but as a result of reading and thinking accept that isn’t the answer. So I’m not on my list.

If people didn’t tolerate/admire/seek out the wrong thinking weirdos, they have fewer opportunities to bugger up the world.

NotQuiteNorma · 27/01/2024 08:34

You see to me, I would see this as being dangerously detached on her part. It's just not feasible that she would be sent into high security prisons to work with dangerous inmates like this and not be aware of what he did. She would have to have been made aware he posed a serious threat to women. He could have strangled her during sex for god's sake. And that clearly wasn't a priority for her. And still, she was able to separate that henious act in her mind from the man she was dealing with. Totally disrespectful to the victim and her family. Of course it also raises serious questions about how he had access to lone women in the first place in prison.

That's a good point. The wife of that man who shot the little girl in Liverpool was at the trial every day supporting him. Probably more worried about how she was going to afford her designer outfits that the fact her husband had just murdered a child.

No woman should work in a male prison and no man should work in a women’s prison.

LutonBeds · 27/01/2024 08:50

Of course she’ll have known what he was in for. Some people just fail me, they really do.

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 27/01/2024 08:51

My colleague who visited the local prison to provide health care came back shocked some nurses seemed to actively enjoy working with paedophiles and sought out contact with them.

And yet someone on here defended her saying “she was just a woman trying to run a business to support her and her family” 🙄. Or words to that effect.

Yep, shows her stupidity that she thinks people will believe she didn’t know.

I hope she's been fired. At best she's abused her position.

That can sometimes be true but there are definitely some women who fetishise male criminals.

mommatoone · 27/01/2024 09:16

It's just absolutely abhorrent. Not only was Zara killed in the most brutal way, but her Aunt campaigned after her death to end violence against women. Then you have this piece of shit having her way with him whilst she is meant to be in a position of authority! It beggars belief.

Wellhellooooodear · 27/01/2024 09:34

Don't underestimate how desperate some women are for male attention. Just look at all those who let random men into their kids lives who they don't know from Adam.
