Is it ok to drink wine every eve?? I have a glass , sometimes 2 every evening and I love it, it makes me happy. Dh says mental health more important so if it makes me happy I should just do it. I am a healthy 40 something with a professional career. I just love wine.

Sounds good. Agree you need to reframe it so alcohol is the rarer treat rather than a daily thing that you feel entitled to and put out when you can’t have it every day.

thanks for keeping us updated! Which alcohol free wine did you get? I’ve had some good AF beers (leffe is my favourite) but AF wine has always been a bit of a disappointment.

I've not drunk anything since going out for a birthday early Jan (only had two Proseccos rather than say my usual 4/5).

My aim was (is) to ditch the mindless at home glasses of wine on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday (never drink during the week unless socialising) and only drink if out socialising.

Saving calories and pennies mainly - but also the crappy sleep that usually accompanies one or two glasses (menopause).

I have been enjoying Trip drinks, Kombucha and I’ve just bought some Sentía drink. So not a fan of non- alcoholic wine or beer but something that has a slight impact on mood/health.

The sentía drink is expensive but supposed to increase GABA - a neurotransmitter and supposed to simulate that first drink that relaxes you (but no alcohol in it)

I’m also trying to knock on the head the odd glass of wine at home in the week. As my sleep is so affected even after one glass. And only drink when socialising out and about.

It’s taken me a while to get to this stage though!

You sound like you are functioning just fine on it but you do sound addicted.
Could you go without it for a month ?

If you're okay with daily drinking and healthy what's the harm.

Answer this what about children in hospitals/hospices who have never done anything in their lives yet their life is cruelly being cut short? You lot all banging on about health and cancers, healthy people get cancer, babies get cancer children get cancer, people die in car crashes, choking, house fires, the list is endless, live life while you can and stop being keyboard warriors thinking you know best about everything,
