He seems too have big anger issues on I'm a Celeb. AIBU? It's been a rubbish show this year. I don't think I'll watch it again.

I agree with PP that Tony is being very restrained with Sam, I think if he smacks him, he will be justified. I didnt think I would like Tony, but he is fast becoming a favourite.

I really dislike Nella, and unfortunately Josie, the other lady whose name I cant remember, seem to be going along with her. Fred is a controlling arse now he is not cooking and has shown a different side to himself, so I think taking him off the cooking was a good thing, Nigel is a twat, who has come across as a misogynist, but being honest I am not sure if that is editing. I dont like Sam, but his energy, seems to be keeping people going.

shamelesss · 03/12/2023 16:45

it was Nick who mentioned the cheap toast but going along with the discussion about the lovely roast dinners they had subsidised that Nigel started, I also can’t remember his exact words but just before that portion of the VT cut to Ant & Dec Nigel said something about being able to claim spends and how he made sure to cash in and sometimes overspend (words to that effect anyway)

shamelesss · 03/12/2023 16:45

I liked Danielle at the start but she went down in my estimation after last night she wasn’t honest with Fred and didn’t say that actually she liked the rice Josie has made

shamelesss · 03/12/2023 16:47

But back to Tony he seems like a decent guy, I saw the pics of his family coming through the airport and they look like a regular family, not decked out in designer gear and with Nannies

JaneJeffer · 03/12/2023 17:08

He's lovely Confused

I agree with this. She also went along with Nella's stupid allocation of jobs based on petty revenge.

Weird or just a different view to you?

Pretty much everyone else has observed the opposite view to you OP, I'd say your opinion on Tony was a bit odd tbh

BiggerBoat1 · 03/12/2023 17:16

Tony, Nick and Marvin all seem like thoroughly decent men. Frankie seems ok too, but for whatever reason doesn't seem to be getting much air time. Josie is good value too - she's funny and the others seem to like her.

Coconutter24 · 03/12/2023 17:21

I’m sat watching it now. He seems a lovely man, he shows genuine care of his campmates when he checks in on them. I haven’t seen no anger issues at all. I don’t recall him snapping during trials but even if he did he’s probably trying to not show he’s scared of what he’s doing. Even with Sam (I get he’s got ADHD) but that’s not to say you can’t be annoying Sam is clearly very annoying yet he seems so patient with him. I do like Sam but I definitely couldn’t live with him haha

Bouncyball23 · 03/12/2023 17:27

I don't think he's angry or lovely I think he is miserable hardly cracks a smile and seems like he 100% doesn't wanna be there.

Jitterybugs · 03/12/2023 17:34

I really like Tony. I don’t think he’s put a foot wrong since he arrived. Well, apart from voting for Nella for camp leader! But I think he quickly realised that maybe wasn’t a good move. He comes across as a decent guy and despite his physique seems a big softie and his banter with A&D during the trials is comical. I’d be happy for him to win.

StellarPerformance · 03/12/2023 17:51

Never seen tony exhibit "anger issues" or "flare up"....even in the face of great provocation.
Others have advised Sam to tone it down. ADHD is not an excuse to be a tit.

Paul2023 · 03/12/2023 17:56

I thought originally that Tony would be quite hit headed in there but he’s been very chilled and controlled himself well.
Sams obviously got on his nerves and he’s kept his temper well.
He probably gets annoyed in the trials because of the creatures and the pressure of the tasks. It’s nerves/ fear even.

I think most people would get a bit edgy when they’re in an enclosed area with 10 snakes whilst trying to complete a bush tucker trial.

Biscuitsneeded · 03/12/2023 18:05

I can see Tony getting wound up, but I think he is controlling it well. Sam is quite annoying but I think Tony knows he doesn't mean to be and is just trying to treat him as an over-excitable child. The two biggest nobs are Farage and Fred. I liked Fred at first and felt sorry for him when Nella was inexplicably offended by him, but his behaviour over the cooking and washing up is pathetic. He's only happy when he is the alpha. Farage is just vile and oleaginous, and only Nella has actually challenged anything he has said. Yes she is bit of a lazy princess, but I'm glad she took him on over the whole 'cultural appropriation' rubbish. I would like Marvin, Josie or Danielle to win.

MeinKraft · 03/12/2023 18:26

I absolutely love him in this. He's deadpan and funny. He does get a pissed off gleam in his eye sometimes where you think Sam's going to get a haymaker this time, but he controls himself Grin

SandyWaves · 03/12/2023 18:44

I get what you mean, OP. I see an undertone there too.

He is easy on the eye though, isn't he.

I voted to keep Fred in because I enjoy the drama. Adds to the entertainment value.

MadCatLady27 · 03/12/2023 19:04

I disagree he seems lovely. And yes as others have said, very easy on the eye now he's sans moustache!

I'd have lost my s**t with Sam if he kept leaping on me, I get he has ADHD but he shouldn't keep invading people's personal space

DropDeadFreida · 03/12/2023 19:34

Also it's interesting that when Tony asked Sam if he farts in front of his GF Sam said no, so he is clearly able to be more careful if he chooses to be, but is playing up in the camp.

Does anyone else think he's gotten Botox or fillers? He looks different but we can't put our finger on what it is

ThreeRingCircus · 03/12/2023 22:30

I love Tony and want him to win.

I think you're misreading his dry, Scouse humour to be honest. He's sarcastic, and you can tell he's been frightened in a couple of the trials but he's done really well.

He deserves a medal for keeping his cool with Sam jumping all over him constantly.

Freshstarts24 · 03/12/2023 22:32

I don’t think you’re understanding his sense of humour. He’s very dry and sarcastic and does a lot of stuff for effect. I don’t think he comes across angry at all.

Freshstarts24 · 03/12/2023 22:42

I think it’s sad all of the things people are saying about Sam. He hasn’t got any bad intentions at all and has openly spoke about how he really craves acceptance. He has adhd and autism and a lot of the things people are putting him down for are linked to his ND.

smileannie · 03/12/2023 22:45

It was the other way round, Mike Tyson bit off part of Evander Holyfield’s ear in 1997.
