Fleece bed linen. Just no…

Looking to get our teenage daughter some new Christmas bedding. Everywhere I look there seems to be an awful lot of winter bedding which is fleecy. 100% polyester.

is it just me who finds this a bit gross? I can’t get past how hot & sweaty it would be lying under a fleece duvet cover! Imagine how often it would need washed! 😮
I get that it would be cosy to crawl under at first, but to sleep under it all night?????
Yes? No?

YANBU at all.
Brushed cotton, OTOH…. I absolutely loved my BC sheets when living in a bloody freezing old house with no central heating years ago.

I’m always cold so I love fleecy bedding on the winter. I also have a big fleece blanket on top of the duvet and an electric under blanket.

But I’m weird lol - I have a thick winter duvet all year round

We have a fleece duvet set, we don’t have the heating on overnight and our house gets really cold in the winter! I wouldn’t if your house isn’t really cold though I think you’re right would get super hot and sweaty!

It seems I may have divided the nation!

I was on your side as I'm usually a natural fibres only person and imagined teddy fleece would be sweaty and horrible. I only bought some when it was reduced to almost nothing so worth a shot and I LOVE it. It feels wonderful to get into and put your head on a soft fleecy pillow and bizarrely it's no more sweaty for me than cotton (I'm in peri menopause and get night sweats from time to time). And it dries so much more quickly in winter than my heavy brushed cotton bedding.
