Maybe it’s just menopausal me who has no interest in sex currently, but even when younger, although I enjoyed it at times, it’s often all about men. I fancied men and imagined kissing them etc and being in love with them, but didn’t necessarily think about sex-maybe that’s weird and just me?
Just imagine the world could be a better place, men would be so much kinder, no rape/sexual assault, no pedophiles (sp) no more horrible porn on the internet

Can’t agree with you there, there are some days I can take it or leave it but thoroughly enjoy a good time with my husband more often than not. It’s definitely not all about him tho, he’s often more interested in me. Maybe you’ve not had great experiences?

Rape and sexual assault are nothing to do with sex though. Men would just find another way to exhert their power over women.

This is a bit like saying how much better the world would be without the written word. Nobody would have been able to write Mein Kampf or say horrible racist things on message boards. Nobody would have been able to write Man's Search for Meaning or Shakespeare's sonnets either. Besides, how do you know your alternate method of reproduction wouldn't have even worse side-effects?

Sex brings some people wonderful happiness. It brings some others misery. We would, at best, lessen some of that misery by taking away sex (men will still be physically violent to women) but we'll also take away a great deal of good.

No I think it would be better if vaginas had teeth and women were as physically strong as men.

I love being najed with the right person, the anticipation and the kissing.

I think the porn industry will evolve into something more realistic and sensual in time.

It would be great to erase mysogynistic, patriarchal porn and views about sex etc.

I prioritise my enjoyment over a partners, that might be selfish, but women bear the brunt of the consequences of sex and reproduction and as a result I think it's fair for the woman to be prioritised in the bedroom.

I agree with you but I highly suspect it’s because I’m menopausal and suffering with a lot of health issues. Couldn’t give a flying monkeys about sex anymore. If you asked me 10/15 years ago I’d have felt the opposite.

Just because you don't/didn't have much interest in sex and feel it's all about the man, that doesn't mean the world would be better without it.

What you're saying is a bit like saying the world would be better if we all just consumed all our nutrition in the form of a single tasteless drink every morning, because then nobody would be obese. Yes, nobody would be obese, that is true - but we'd also be denying ourselves a huge part of normal human life and pleasure and most of us would be miserable as fuck. Same applies to sex and sexual feelings.

It’s an interesting thought experiment. I like sex. But I’ve often thought my life might have been easier if I’d liked sex with women.

I agree, I think a lot of nastiness in the world would be erased if sex didn't exist.

Instead of thinking of it personally "I like sex and it should stay".

We should think of all the problems that go on around the world , just because of sex:
Pornography, the huge amounts of rape, every woman I know has been sexually assaulted, paedophilia, prostitutolion, human trafficking. It causes some of the biggest problems in the world.

I don't mind sex. But it's not the only way to connect. I was just thinking that I have felt more intimate with a partner kissing him, or talking about a book with him, then having sex with him, which is just physical and over quickly.

But sex and the fact that humans have enjoyed it for millenia is the reason we reproduce. If the new method was purely functional, there would be far fewer babies.

I don't get a lot these days (widowed) but the promise of the possibility still excites me 😆

I do sometimes think that the world was designed a bit badly.

Not only are women physically smaller than men, but we also can't hide our sexual features.

Men can hide their penises in clothes. I have big boobs. No matter what I wear , you can see my big boobs. Which makes me sexualised. The only thing that really hides them is if I wear a big padded coat, the ones that look like a duvet on. I can't wear that in summer.

Why design women to be smaller than men and to design women so women can't hide their breasts. So women look sexual at all times. We have to show the outline of our breasts at all times through clothes.

So it's one reason men become hyper sexual. If we saw the outline of mens penises all the time, we would probably be talking about them sexually

I don’t think seeing the outline of a penis through clothing is a turn on at all.
