DP refusing to be seen with me if I'm wearing gold trainers (light hearted)

A few years ago I told my DP that if I ever bought gold shoes he was to take me out and shoot me.

I've now changed my mind and bought myself some gold trainers. I love them and they're really comfy.

But DP doesn't like them and has reminded me of what I said. He says he won't be seen in public with them.

I love gold. Dh hated a rose gold puffer jacket but doesn’t mind the other gold or glitzy stuff I love. I don’t care if anyone else likes it, I do, love a bit of sparkle. I wear rose gold supergas.
If you love them, wear them with pride!

I do think they’re granny shoes but they’re trendy granny shoes, no? All the old ladies I see in gold trainers are usually nicely dressed.

Granny shoes… I’m 50 and wouldn’t be seen in trainers like that but if you like them 🤷‍♀️

@GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing my mum started wearing metallic shoes a lot and I didn't like them. I thought they were 'older lady' shoes. I'm a few years older now and have come to appreciate them.

I think the more 'trendier' ones are more so Victoria Milan, Guess etc, they're not gold but have gold in them.

Your actual gold shoe reminds me of my MIL she's in her 50's but her footwear looks like she is in her 80's. No offence to anyone but she also dresses much older for her age.

I like them too, though they're very gold but edgy with the black.

Did you buy them? If not, maybe now as they're now half price!
