Cheated on his wife that he's been with for ten years and has a baby with. All for the chance to be Ariana's rebound. Despicable, but not on the same level as the allegations against Lizzo.

Ariana G reminds me a bit of Rita ora, both have clocked so many mile high points with the fellas - rumours has it.

If it’s true about Lizzo then I am genuinely sad because it may mean that fame has gone to her head. If it isn’t true it’s still sad because it will show how difficult fame is and that everybody comes for you when you achieve it. I hope it isn’t true.

Sorry just to clarify, I feel there is a large proportion of the press who have been waiting to pounce on Lizzo ever since she rose to fame. The fact that she is fat, feminist (well until these allegations came out) and proudly black is everything the mainstream press hates. They would forgive the Ariana's, coquettishly stealing married men and changing race on a whim, a million times, but will gorge on the allegations about Lizzo.
Yes it makes me sad what has been said but I'm sure male CEO's have performed much worse over the years and this has gone largely unnoticed. I'm not saying Lizzo wasn't wrong, it's just unfair that the press will now pile in on her (don't forget she's fat too, how fucking dare she) and I think they've been waiting a long time too.

But I do think that if Ariana Grande was accused of the same thing and sued, that would also be very widely reported. I hadn't actually heard about the Ariana story before this thread. I think they're different types of story. A lawsuit over sexual harassment vs an affair?

Hypocrites will hypocrite. I am all for press piling on these. It was all just USP. Most of these things are in many, many celebrities. Some just can't keep up with that image too long.

Next could be Dicaprio et al and his "save the planet" while we swoon around in private jets.

but am I the only one surprised by the Christian factor? I know that faith can be personal. But after having just watched a video of Lizzo… well, it doesn’t seem particularly Christian to me!

I am also not surprised that there apparently was a very sexually charged and inappropriate atmosphere (or work culture?), considering what is performed on stage. seems like the stage performance translates to backstage…!

Clear boundaries (and a moral compass/respect for employees rights and dignity) are probably even more important in this kind of work environment.

What Lizzo is accused of doing is far worse than Ariande Grande's love life. Some of the allegations (particularly the one involving bananas) would be incredibly humiliating. If it's true then she deserves to be taken to court for it and I hope it's expensive.

The charges for forcing religion on the dancers are made against Lizzo's dance captain, Quigley, not Lizzo. Both Quigley and Lizzo are being sued by the sacked dancers.

I've been trying to find where she says she doesn't care about white fans and I can't see that. I see that she was accused by some black critics of making music just for white people, suggesting that she was ignoring her black roots, but she countered by saying that the majority of people who attend her concerts are white so she could see how people feel that way, but that she writes music based on her experience as a black woman. This woman can't win.

I’m not sure about the Lizzo accusations tbh, I’m not a huge fan, but I read through them and as someone else said they’re a bit wooly, they could have been exaggerated by people with an axe to grind. Not saying that I don’t believe them, but I will reserve judgement.

Am I right in thinking that these dancers went on a reality show to get the jobs. That doesn't disprove what they're saying but maybe shows a certain inclination to wanting fame.

@Siouxiesiouxiesioux totally agree with your comments. The lawsuit seems flimsy at best and certainly wouldn't be filed anywhere but the USA. I guess Lizzo doesn't know her place as far as some people are concerned. Perhaps we could just appreciate these two women's undoubted talent and stop with the gleeful gossip?
