I’m curious to hear what you named your dog, or cat (or any other pet you want to include).

and what do you think of human names for pets? I really like them, especially older people names like Mable or Frank.

I don't have a dog, I'm afraid, but I misread the title and assumed your dog's name was Jeff - which I think is a fine, solid name for any dog!

Cooper. I like human names for dogs rather than names like Chip, Cookie etc

I have a little terrier called Betty, my daughter named her and I wasn’t really convinced by it at first but she’s really grown into the name!

Our dog is called Seven. But I do love an old man name too! Best friend has cats called Bob and Frank and we know a few dogs with names like Stanley, Reg etc. Also a dachshund called Dave whose owners call him David when he's being naughty

I recently met a Labrador called David which I found hilarious!

We have a Dave and a Steve, David and Steven when they are in trouble though.

He passed last year but my parents Springer was called Basil. Daft as a brush! Even at 13 he was still stealing socks!

I rescued an old sick Rommie who'd been named Linda by her rescuer. It's also my mums name. 4 legged Linda didn't know her name but I didn't want to change it. My mum called her Lynsey because she said she felt weird using her own name.

Awww, springers love socks (and shoes, and pants), but they were bred to bring you things, so they don’t see it as stealing but HELPING.

All rescues/short term fosters, so none named by us, we’ve had a Honey, a Rosie, a Seamus, a Kylie (last two Irish rescues), a Milo, a Beau, a Saffy, a Hetty, a Moss and now have an Artie.

i only actually named the cat, nobody would let me name the dogs.

I fostered a dog with an oldish man’s name, it was hilarious till you had to call him in the park and men turned round 😐

😂 fair enough but won’t work for me as all my passwords are named after my many rescue/foster cats and Guinea pigs, not the dogs (and none of the, appear on my social media in my own name…)

I like human names for dogs. I don't have a pet dog at the moment though.
