Taylor codes- Are you ready for it?

Just starting a thread now in case codes start coming out at midnight or something crazy! I’m already nervous, can’t imagine what it’ll be like trying to get tickets!

When people start getting codes, update and let us know when they arrived and how you got them?

I’m the opposite - really want a June date instead of August! 😅 But I would be grateful for anything to be honest - I think that’s what they’re banking on?!

Sorry I meant an accessibility ticket - but I cant work out what date these fo on sale!

I saw this in the Midnights presale FAQ. Seems to imply that they are prepared to sellout during the presale? Could just be covering their backs in the case of them maybe messing it up again like in US?

According to the official charts, Taylor sold 200k copies of Midnights in the first week. So we can assume the bulk of that will have been presales.

I worked out earlier that there were about 750k tickets available over the whole tour, but that’s before she added on the new dates. So let’s be generous and round that up to 1m tickets (holy crap!!!)

so if everyone who ordered a presale got a code and took their full allocation of 4 tickets then yes it seems mathematically there could be a case where sales sell out in the midnight presale before going on general ticketmaster/axs sale. Holy fuck.

so I suspect the question now is how to create a fair environment.

even if we said that all midnight presales codes took 2 tickets (not 4) that accounts to at least 50% of the tickets allocated as part of the presale process

Check this part:

For UK dates, ticket inventory will be split evenly between the official ticket providers Ticketmaster and AXS. Your unique non-transferable access code has been randomly assigned to [HERE]. For UK dates, your unique code will be valid for purchase only on [HERE].

The emails are not being sent until the 14th now.

Unless you bought the Midnights album last October you aren’t a part of the presale, just the general sale (if you don’t get waitlisted).

Guess we'll be playing this game tomorrow when the Midnights codes are emailed out. May the odds be in your favour.

This is great detective work! But due to UK-specific regulations ‘preorder this album for presale ticket access’ type promotions have to include a ‘no purchase necessary’ option. They get round this by making that link very small or hard to find on the page, so most people will not realise and preorder an album, but it’s there. So in addition to the 200K Midnights sold, there could be more people who were granted access to codes via this method unfortunately.

• For UK dates, ticket inventory will be split evenly between the official ticket agents Ticketmaster and AXS.

• If you are selected, you will be randomly assigned a unique non-transferable access code to EITHER Ticketmaster or AXS.

• Registrants who are selected to receive a code for Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour ticket sale will have the opportunity to access the sale for the specific city they registered for.

• Access to sales will be limited to the specific shows that are on sale on a specific day. If you are selected, please read your email carefully to see which day’s on sales you have access to.

• All registrants will receive a further email from either Ticketmaster or AXS confirming their selected/waitlist status by 23:59 Friday 14 July.

• Successful registrants will be selected at random to receive access codes. If you are not initially selected, you will be placed on the waiting list to receive a code.

• If you are placed on the waitlist, and any further tickets becomes available, you may be sent an email to join the sale.

Yeah they'll be loads of people in the pre sale I expect, the free sign up was circulating around quite a few active forums! I suspect they'll cap the allocation though to avoid the US disaster so proportionately might actually be worse odds than the general sale!

My friend just got an email saying she'll hear about London tomorrow. She wasn't in the midnights presale. I'm so confused!!

Does anyone know if the limit is 4 tickets per code or 4 per account? I will get a code for Amsterdam but the sale is prior to knowing if I have a UK code. Was planning on trying for tickets and then reselling (if we even get any, not at a hike at all) if successful in UK. Trying to work out if this is possible

I didn't get an email - mortified doesn't even cover it 😞I have 3 from Ticketmaster about updates and linking, but nothing about having registered - and no email from AEG.

@IGiveUpalready are you midnights or ticketmaster? Because they haven’t sent the ticketmaster codes, we have up to 14th still?

I'm ticket master - I've checked my junk folder. It looks like I never registered - all of the Ticketmaster emails confirm I linked my account etc but nothing to say registered.
Nothing from AEG, I have let my daughter down, she will be disappointed as she has followed since the early days and she also follows paramour :( but she will be ok. Just me that cant get over it :D

I'm used to analysing relatively complicated scenarios at work but this ticket allocation system is next level bonkers. Bring back the days when you got on the phone at 10am on the allotted day and just hoped something would answer it!
