…ok, but what’s in your Meal Deal though?

All this talk of meal deals is making me hungry. Bloody love a meal deal. What’s your combo?

Mine is:

• cheese and onion sandwich
• small tub of Pringles
• innocent berry smoothie or Diet Coke or coconut water

Sandwich can be substituted for a tuna and sweetcorn one, but I’m in a real cheese and onion phase at the moment. Crisps can be sea salt and balsamic vinegar kettle chips or Squares depending on mood, but Pringles are speaking to me the most currently.

What’s in yours?

God I used to bloody love the Taste the Diff chicken salad sandwich, large bag of brown hula hoops and a bottle of Diet Coke. These days the fancy sandwiches are no longer in the meal deal... I usually go for egg mayo, cheesy Doritos and a Coke Zero.

Is a coffee from the Costa machine included in the £3.50 meal deal?! How did I not know this!!

I'd be sad to see them go I was at our local seafront last weekend and there was a Grandad sat there Friday evening with 3 kids. They were watching the sea all happy munching on their meal deals. In days gone by they'd have had fish and chips. These days their meal deal prob a tenth of the price . They were all happy and fed. Leave them alone!

I don’t really buy them anymore but When I get a meal deal from Sainsburys, it’s usually as follows:

Chicken and bacon or chicken and stuffing sandwich
Apple and grape bag or blue Doritos (very rarely)
Tropicana orange juice / Coke or water

I refuse to buy them in Tesco because their sandwiches are rubbish and pretty bare in my experience.

I discovered Thai Red Curry Chicken sandwiches in Sainsburys yesterday, really nice. Packet of hoola hoops as a treat (I'm trying to cut out crisps) and diet 7up.

I only drink water and have always thought that it’s a rip off for a sandwich and bag of crisps! Saying that, the sandwich shop between my station and work is predictably a pret so I just buy a baguette if I need to pick up lunch - another rip off but at least it’s tasty!

Chicken Salad, Beef & Horseradish & Prawn Mayo depending what I feel like eating on the day.
Flame Grilled McCoys
Dr Pepper Zero or Cherry Coke Zero.

Prawn Mayo
Scotch Egg
Apple Juice

Which ever is best value for most food

I never buy from Asda meal deal (snob) irrational.

I saw that supermarket has started a £3.50 meal deal with a Costa. Might try a meal with a hot chocolate next.

The little sushi trays, cheese and onion crisps and a Pepsi cherry max. I want this now!

I buy a MealDeal from co-op on a Friday.

• Egg sandwich. Maybe tuna.
• Brookie bar. Soooo tasty! Although I have been known to buy the watermelon slices.
• Innocent smoothie.

Seldom have them (as I'm usually at home) but had a sainbury's one last week - chicken salad sandwich, still water and little pot of pineapple.

Chicken & sweetcorn or ham & cheese
Salt and vinegar walkers or blue Doritos
Sprite Zero or a Ribena

Only ever a combination of those

Tuna mayo sandwich, bottle of water and a packet of beefy monster munch. I sometimes pay a bit extra and get some fruit of it's hot and I'm extra thirsty.

Prawn sandwich or deli meat sub
Sausage roll
Innocent smoothy

I give the Sausage roll to one of the kids as a treat normally.

Tesco do a good one :)

I’ve had this for lunch almost every day this year, except on the few times the sandwich was unavailable then I’d pick up the bbq chicken, bacon and cheese.

Thai chilli crisps, Costa cappuccino and a vegetarian New York deli sandwich,
If being good same sandwich but 2 boiled eggs and bottle of sparkling plain water. Tesco.
If Greggs, cheese salad bun with cappuccino as drink.
