thread]] it’s been a while, but I thought I should update! The original thread is in Classics and ran to three with a happy ending.

I just wanted to tell you that the fields are now part of a conservation project to reintroduce Lapwing, and they are bloody marvellous! They were also our haven in 2020 when we could just hide away from the world - there are advantages to living in the middle of nowhere.

MN had probably changed so much that posting that it worked out buying a near- derelict house in the middle of nowhere is an act of privilege, and I’m now in agreement. I am so fucking privileged to be where I am with the family I have, and the world I have created, and there was luck and awfulness along the way.

Probably not relevant to most people, but I think we’re coming up to the 10 year anniversary if we haven’t passed it, and I am so grateful to all of you vipers for being who you were back then.

Yay! It was such an awful time in my life, and it’s one of those weird times where advice online made such a big difference to what we did.

It made us take ownership of our home, and really did change how we viewed and used the place.

One day Fuck You Fest should happen for real

Ten years feels like a lifetime ago - and five minutes - it’s been a time of highs and lows, but there was a barn owl swiping over the fields last night, and it makes all the lows disappear.
