My DH bought himself 2 cases of beer...

My DH has been out all day on his man's secret MN hobby (you will never guess). He walked in after being out for 6 hours, obviously having come home via the shops, carrying 2 cases of beer for himself.
I said excitedly 'oooh! What did you get for me?'

Silence.

He's just sheepishly told me that he will make dinner this evening.

To be fair I do get time to myself. Tomorrow I'm taking myself off to a National Trust place for a walk and coffee.

I might arrive home with some pink champagne 😂
