Just that, really! One less bastard in the world

He should have received a much longer jail sentence than he did. I think paedos are treated far too likely in this country, mainly because so many influential members of the political, legal and media establishment share their proclivities.

GoodChat · 23/05/2023 18:00

@mainsfed even if they did stay for the inheritance, I can hardly blame them. At least they got something considered he destroyed their family and their reputations.

Member869894 · 23/05/2023 18:04

I am sad for his victims and his family. He did heinous things yet his talents brought joy to thousands. His death is nothing to celebrate or crow over imo

DonnaBanana · 23/05/2023 18:04

Another bad apple with such a mixed legacy like Guevara or Thatcher. People can be so complicated and made up of good and bad but it’s good Rolf’s story has concluded and his victims can find some peace.

Clymene · 23/05/2023 18:16

I hope he suffered

Startyabastard · 23/05/2023 18:32

I was victorious due to his death earlier and the person with me on the sofa when I was hearing this news was disgusted with my reaction
'because he's dead.....'
I'm a victim of paedophilia, how else would I react???? 😡

Startyabastard · 23/05/2023 18:34

There is speculation that he dies earlier than today because there was supposedly a private ambulance outside his house... the types used for dead people.
The family probably wanted to protect their vulnerability and didn't want people to know where he is buried.

His wife may have alzheimer's but she's still Company Sec of a company worth about 4mill. She can probably spare some.

Alwen knew where her bread was buttered! Same with Bill Cosby's wife. Defiant until the end in the face of overwhelming proof. Maybe it's a generational thing, maybe they are so completely gaslit and brainwashed they just can't comprehend, I don't know....but I wouldn't be trawling through court every day by my husbands side as he is charged and then convicted of grooming & sexually abusing children. Absolutely no chance.

Not at all blaming the women here, not one bit, I can't imagine they've had an easy time - I just find that blind denial infuriating - it just so enables the perpetrators. But then I had it with my exMIL over her absolute horror of a son. If he'd stabbed me to death she would have blamed me and continued doting on him in prison.

BonesBrennanz · 23/05/2023 19:54

@DonnaBanana you might not like Thatcher but it doesn’t seem fair comparing her to convicted sex offenders.

Jux · 23/05/2023 19:58

All his honours have been removed years ago tg, but that portrait, well it should be burnt really. Only it'd probably be treason to do unless Charlie-boy does it. Maybe Brenda did it herself when RH was jailed. We can only hope.

Do you understand the part that she played in Hillsborough and making Jimmy Savile untouchable?

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 23/05/2023 20:32

OilyHomer · 23/05/2023 13:33

Him and Saville are hopefully riding a Horse For Two through Hell

Perfection. May they burn for all eternity.

EilonwyWithRedGoldHair · 23/05/2023 15:38

The only thing I'm going to say is that the press should leave the family alone. They've asked for that, yet still the Daily Mail etc are asking them for comment.

His daughter clearly doesn't want to say anything to the media and his wife has Alzheimer's. Just leave them alone.

Did she have Alzheimer’s when he was violating his daughters friend for years? How could you stay with someone after that abuse of trust?

Very this. She was by his side all the way through court. It sickened me how many stood by him

He's dead now, just leave it now. He did some terrible things and he served a sentence. He suffered a terrible illness and probably died suffering. Just leave it now, all the whooping and cheering and memes are just too much now.

His victims are still suffering.

Mrsblobby12 · 23/05/2023 23:26

They are yes, and I am very sorry for them. I'm very glad he got a custodial sentence and that he was found out, he deserved to.
But he's dead now, that's it. He's gone.
I find all this whoop whooping in bad taste all the same. He has a wife and daughter.

Yes agree…find the comments quite shocking. He was obviously a vile human being but being victorious about his death and how he died is also quite disturbing 😳

piefacedClique · 23/05/2023 23:32

Perfectly put!

Mrsblobby12 · 23/05/2023 23:32

If it were Hitler that's another kettle of fish. As I say he deserved his custodial sentence and to be brought to justice for what he did. I do find it somewhat disturbing too that people are hoping his cancer was as painful as possible and that his death was incredibly traumatic. It brings out an animalistic side of people. At the end of it all he was 93, being fed through a tube.

GoodChat · 24/05/2023 06:12

It'd be hard to accept you'd been married to someone for so long and not know what they're really like. You'd struggle to believe it.

clpsmum · 24/05/2023 07:11

FergalforPM · 23/05/2023 13:28

"two little boys" was Thatcher's favourite record - no doubt it reminded her she liked socialising with pedos.

So did the king but everyone seems to have swept that under the carpet

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe · 24/05/2023 09:43

I'm more angry about the paedophiles who are never caught. 'Happily married, family men' who harass and grope young girls who are innocently walking to school (in uniform).

We're still doing it, aren't we? Focusing on the famous, the celebrities, going on and on. What about the non-celebrity paedophiles who are everywhere amongst us?

Whattodo112222 · 24/05/2023 09:43

Good riddance to bad fucking rubbish

Laughingravy · 24/05/2023 10:45

Like a few other PP he was the only one I felt really let down by. He seemed like a nice guy and was a constant feature on the TV for most of my life, I even saw him live.

I can understand why the family kept his death quiet given today's headlines in the red tops - suggesting keeping his funeral secret was 'cheating his victims' really really helps no one.
