I never watch TM anymore. I used to like it years ago with R and J but I cannot bear PS. Even before I knew about his awful (and criminal) behaviour. He’s smug and he knows he’s untouchable. The whole spectacle of his “coming out” was such a cringe fest. Not keen on HW and the whole queue gate thing demonstrates how entitled they really are. Still waiting for that footage from Westminster….

Ruth and Eamon were so much better than any of the presenters they have now. I do like Dermot but can’t watch because of Alison.
She seems a nice enough woman but I can’t watch anything she’s in. It’s ruined Bake Off for me.

I don’t even watch it but hope Phil goes 😂. Unlikely given it’s just that he’s a witness in his brother’s court case where he’s accused of - sexual acts with a minor and/or similar.

The whole show needs to be burnt to the ground. I loved Richard and Judy and also Ferne.
I rarely see it now, but when I do it all seems a bit fake and forced.

That is exactly what went through my mind! I am old enough to remember that show. So it must have had a lasting effect. haha!

I was really low last night and reading this thread in particular somehow made me feel even lower.

Other threads about (seemingly) real people and their problems are really interesting, but when it comes to me trying to guess at the reality of TV presenters' current situations it suddenly felt a bit much. I don't know why.

By the way this is about me, not anybody else. I usually quite like celeb gossip. I wish I was in a place right now where I could enjoy it, but I'm not.

No idea if Gino's accent is genuine or not but MIL still has a strong German accent even though she's lived in the UK for well over 50 years so I don't think people always loose their accent just because they have been here a while. The TM you-tube clip that was linked further back in the thread was a spoof, so I don't think you can take that too seriously as "evidence" his accent is fake.

I do sometimes have TM on in the background whilst I'm getting ready and have been shocked when I've heard how rude PS is when they do that spin the wheel game calling listeners & they either don't answer or answer with the wrong phrase; definitely seeing the mask slip!

So to recap :

-Richard nicking a trolley of alcohol scandal
-John Leslie sexual assault scandal
-Fern Brittan found out PS was being paid double what she got or something like that so quit
-Fred the cuddly weather man turning out to be a paedophile court case scandal
-Amanda Holden had some sort of serious fallout with PS and then was dropped from being a host/ left in huff
-Ruth and Eamonn had some sort of serious fallout with PS and then were dropped from being hosts / left in huff
-PS outing himself to stop newspaper story coming out about him being gay, and being involved with much younger intern, whilst being a ‘happily married family man’
-Alison H being blackmailed by ex lover so going to police
-PS’s brother is a paedophile court case ongoing

Have I missed anything?
And that’s only the stuff we know about.

I just know Phil and the others will come up smelling of roses from this.

I can just see it now:-

Phil sat on the sofa looking sad and flanked by presenters and protesting yes, I’m not a good person for supporting my pedophile brother but what else could I do? There’ll be a therapist there holding his hand and saying it’s common for family of pedophiles and other criminals to stand by the perpetrator even though they know they’re guilty.

And Phil gets off scot free and carries on presenting.
