To think This morning is a weird place

It’s just quite odd…all this with Philip Schofield, then Alison Hammond was brought in, talk of blackmail in the news and she’s not on this week anymore…what on earth goes on over there 🤷🏻‍♀️

Agree so much with this. The present presenters are Pound Shop versions of R&J.

I mean, from Richard and Judy - experienced journalists and broadcasters, to that singer from the Saturdays and her husband, among all the other idiots that been paraded through the studio to present.

It needs to be scrapped now.

Is that Rochelle Humes. I am absolutely sure she is a thoroughly nice person (she comes across so) but dear god she is no presenter is she? It made me think I could do better !!

Surprised no one has mentioned Joel Domet’s own filmed “indiscretion” maybe they’ve gone with better the devil you know - he could be paired with Jason Manford to present.

What has Joel done?! Maybe they can’t find anyone to present it who HASN’T got skeletons…

Yes, Rochelle and her husband seem like nice people (from the admittedly little I know of them).

But Richard and Judy or Fern Britton they are not.

Just googled it and yeah he was catfished.

Doesn't put him in the same category as Jason manford though as some people have suggested.

Sorry if someone has already mentioned this, but also their ex presenter Ferne McCann was involved with the acid attacker and more recently the voice note scandal where she called one of the acid victims an ugly cow or something vile. ITV still recently let her appear as a guest on This morning! Really awful.

I thought he was very far from pally with PS because of the way Fern was treated and he was very much biting his tongue so he wasn't blacklisted too.

Im shocked really that, if that's the true story, as per his reported statement today, that his career isn't over tbh.
If this was police matter it's either an abuse of power (like teacher/student dynamic), a child, or abuse, surely? None of which a normal person would just let go and be shocked and horrified at but not report?

^^thats his reported statement. The lawyer for his brother has put it to him that the boy has exaggerated the age and it was 18m from age 16; the boy says no, from age 13.

It's shocking. Even if his brother is acquitted surely he should have raised it at least with the police?

The only reason I can think of is if there was evidence? Diary entry/texts/emails? Or maybe he told the victim(s) and they told the police? I’m not sure because I have been trying not to read about it because it makes me so angry and upset.

Whatever the truth of the matter (and I am sure we will never entirely know; we never do) for his brother to put PS in this situation, with his public profile, and in the light of the last few years, is at the very least problematic?

Whatever we might think of PS, he has an elderly mother who he seems to be close to and protective of? Poor woman, to have all this trouble come to her door in the twilight of her life.
