To say you can still look okay at 13 stone?

I'm 13 stone 7... To my horror! I knew I'd put on a lot rapidly in a short space of time. I'm aware this actually makes me obese. And I need to lose weight for my health

I don't think I look huge though. Definitely not. Might say I'm a bit chubby at a push. Face doesn't look too fat

AIBU to say you can actually be obese and not realise because you don't look 'fat'?

I'm 5'3 so not tall

I am also 5ft 3, very small frame. Currently 8st 9lbs, ideal weight nearer 8 stone. I would look huge at 13st.

I'm 13 stone but I'm 6 feet. Could lose half a stone but I'm still a size 14. I go to the gym regularly and do strength training, so I'm pretty fit.

I’m 5’3 and 13.7 stone. Size 14 on top and 14-16 jeans. I am too heavy, yes. But I’m always heavy, look too skinny at about 10 stone. People are always surprised at my weight.

Yeah you can OP, lots of people would look attractive - not slim but attractive. It is possible to be not-slim and attractive regardless of what PP thinks.

They aren't. It's right in the middle of the healthy BMI range, so whilst the poster might prefer to be smaller or has a frame that suits being in the lower to middle end of BMI, they aren't overweight.

These threads are always the same. You'll get women claiming they're overweight at a healthy weight and other women claiming that they might be technically overweight/obese but they look fine and it's awful if anyone says otherwise.

Younger people with good muscle tone can carry a bit more weight.
I’m 65, slim but my upper arms lack tone and look awful and my bum has lost it’s curve and dropped. I’d gladly put on 2 stone if my elasticity returned but it won’t.

Are you holding your baby when you weigh yourself?

@JaneFondue I have really strong legs which I'm almost adamant puts loads of extra lb on the scales but I don't think that's scientifically accurate

Just my delusion... but I do have huge calf muscles that must weigh a lot

I was weighed at a recent hospital appointment and found out I had put on 15 kilos in weight. I was mortified as had no idea. I am now in the process of losing that weight through IF. It’s working well so far, 4 and a half kilos gone already. I have to see my GP in three months time to discuss the medication I take so want to attend that appointment back down to my more normal weight.
