WWUD? OH in bed since being sent home due to snow!

I’m so annoyed, got my 2 dc at home due to snow so both schools closed , having to do online lessons or planned work.OH sent home this morning as he couldn’t work due to bad weather(roofing contractor) so he’s decided to go back to bed. Me on the other hand am trying to help my youngest with school work, being called numerous times I walk out of room by youngest, trying to get my own bits of work done, older child complaining WiFi is lagging, dog wanting to go for his walk and won’t leave me alone, along with housework that needs sorting, washing that needs to be hung so it can dry, dc needing to be fed lunch, while my OH has been fast asleep snoring his bloody head off for the last 3 and half hours. I am tempted to blast radio to get the lazy fucker up to help me out.Rant done with,apologies in advance 🤬

Go and get him up. Tell him you need a few hours to get on with work and he needs to deal with the kids / dog.

I'd binned off the class work and had a snow day. Let's kids watch TV and play on the snow. Let dp sleep and put feet up with a nice hot drink

Why does it matter if they’re his? He decided to move in, he accepts some of the responsibility. Don’t want to deal with someone else’s kids, don’t co habit with them.

he could at the very least sort the dog, lunches and housework, so the kids parentage is irrelevant anyway.

I have now lost my temper altogether and gone in bedroom with dog lead and said to him bout time the dog got taken on his walk,he asked for a cup of coffee, my reply ‘you know where the kettle is ‘!
Now I’ve decided that we need milk so off up2 shop to have a bit of me time while he can deal with the dc

YANBU for being annoyed. But I don't understand why you haven't already been up there asking him what the hell he's playing at? Presumably he has reason to believe that you will tolerate this behaviour?

He's thinking 'wahey day off work means a day off from everything'. Kids? Nah, she'll look after them. Dog? Nah she'll look after it.'

Ask yourself this, OP/ , would he let you sleep the day away?

I have my phone that I use for work, left my personal one at home. He won’t think to call this one as he will think that’s been left behind too🤭

Or she could just tell him she wasn't answering as she was being as equally unavailable for 3 hours as he has been this morning. Rather than lying to appease him or fake justify what you are doing.
