To think The Fox and The Hound is the worst Disney movie

Even now more than 30ish years since I first watched this stupid film (I'm 40) I hate the ending with a passion that really should be invested in something more worthy.

DS has just sent me a "cute" tiktok of little Todd and Copper being all like always friends forever and no they bloody wont. Just listening the their stupid voices saying it has me back in tears. And to say that phrase at the end of the film as it fades away after Copper couldn't even apologise for being the worst friend in existence (a smile after stepping in front of a gun he knew would never shoot him whilst Todd fought an ACTUAL BEAR for him) bleugh.

I watch Disney for the happy endings. I know there is going to be something brutal at the beginning but the ending is supposed to resolve all the issues so they can live happily ever after. I appreciate they probably each happy individually but they are not always friends forever which was the whole point of the stupid movie.

Worst. Disney. Movie. Ever.

AIBU to think there is no way you can name a worse one?

The worst Disney film is without a doubt Return to Oz. The headless woman and those things with wheels for hands traumatised me as a child, it's seriously creepy for a kids film.

Dumbo is the worst - every bit of it is awful - the ostracisation and bullying, the separation from his mother, the treatment of the animals and the RACISM (faceless black men put up a tent...a crow called Jim Crow, massive stereotyping). I can't believe it's still shown to children tbh.

Dumbo always traumatized me with the bullying and racism (I’m black). I’ve watched it twice but cant handle it again.

Fox and the hound didn’t phase me tho.

I’m at Disney world now and it’s really interesting which of their IP does and doesn’t have a presence in the park. I mean they have spent millions on a new Tron ride? But Jungle book Is almost nowhere to be seen. Beauty and the beast is absolutely everywhere. Quasimodo/Esmeralda nothing. Rapunzel a little in parades but no ride. Really interesting and someone should probably do a PhD thesis on it.

worst for abject horror for kids it’s dumbo or Pinocchio
