If you have Plantar Facilitis a Cortisone injection can be given free at the doctors and helps relieve the pain.

If you wear hearing aids you are entitled to a disabled railcard

Is it better than a family and friends railcard?

Came here all excited.

Most tips are about cleaning.
We've come a long way.

This is clearly untrue.

The majority of the tips are about bears and other assorted apex predators.

Kaathesnake · 22/01/2023 05:15

I’m here for the poodles, if I’m totally honest!! Love the ears💕 and “floofy” must be the official description, surely??😁

Any tips for vegetarians visiting the Arctic?

I think you end up living off lichen.

Anyone visiting the Arctic should make sure they have a good supply of vitamin C. Unless they fancy getting scurvy

Learning to rip off a plaster is an important life lesson for children.

Crusty aged scabs are not only tasty and but also allow you the illicit thrill of testing self-cannabalism in a safe manner.

What should you do if you come across a brown bear and a black bear at the same time?🙁

Pray they fight over the meal (you) while you make your escape.

my partner must have learnt that tip from yours. He believes in the dishwasher fairy

Likewise, if you leave empty toilet rolls stacked up in a little pyramid on top of the toilet, then eventually the loo roll lady magically puts them in the recycling. She normally cracks at 5.

Bio or non bio washing powder for driveways?

bio - cheapest stuff like own brand works perfectly fine. I'm sure they all work though. Need to leave it for a few days. You can brush it off or just let the rain wash it off

GlumShoe · 20/01/2023 19:31

If you have some nice bear skulls that you'd like to preserve, remember:
If it's brown, in the ground
If it's black, dishwasher tablet in a sack
If it's polar, vinegar and cola*

  • Under no circumstances must you eat it's liver.

This wins the thread! Very good.

For weeds?

There's more iron in a bottle of Guinness than a bag of nails.

So Granny said.

Sorry but it's a myth. A pint of Guinness contains 0.3mg of iron, less than 3% of daily adult need. You'd need to drink 3 pints of Guinness to provide the same amount of iron as a single egg yolk and 15 pints of Guinness to get the same amount of iron as two Weetabix. The harm from alcohol is much more substantial.

If you're stranded in the Arctic and have to kill a polar bear for food, DON'T eat it's liver - at times it can contain so much Vitamin A that it could kill you.

🤣🤣

I've asked my ten year old and he has confirmed he didn't know any of this.
He's now a bit worried about bears though.

🤣👌

Gently rub (white only) toothpaste on magnolia emulsioned walls with a clean toothbrush if your DC ( don't ask) manage to get dark red stains on it ! NB when I tried this it did an ok job but you can still see a faint mark if you look close so you may have to resort to repainting that bit.

Skull cleaning... red stain removal off white walls...

~Surreptitiously taking notes~

I suppose Guinness is easier to digest than a bag of nails 😂
