To ask how much you pay for a simple cut and blow dry?

Just wondering what the average is across the country.

My hairdresser was £35 for a cut and blow dry just before Covid. No restyle etc, just trim / tidy.

Now it's £55. I appreciate everything has gone up across the board and that we live in a fairly cheap area but that's a 57% increase in 3 years!

£67 central London

£120. London. It’s gone up massively ☹️ so I’ve moved to a salon run from someone’s home, and that’s £35.

Seeline · 15/01/2023 10:14

I went last week and paid £56. It's been going up steadily for the last 5 years or so. My hairdresser is the deputy manager so costs a bit more. South London/Surrey borders.

Goodness London prices are shocking. We're in Cumbria so not exactly a metropolis!

£35 Leicestershire

Craghopper1 · 15/01/2023 10:16

£40. Hove. Then it's about another 70 if I want highlights.

BigFloppa · 15/01/2023 10:16

£51

BigFloppa · 15/01/2023 10:17

They have different levels of stylist sonic can be as little as £35 but I have had the same woman doing my hair as she's gone up the levels.

Glitterblue · 15/01/2023 10:17

£18 - Scottish Borders. London prices are crazy!

ICouldHaveCheckedFirst · 15/01/2023 10:17

£45.

Doodleboodle · 15/01/2023 10:18

The London salon is a posh one, to be fair. Hence my move!

Athenen0ctua · 15/01/2023 10:18

£16 at the barber

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 15/01/2023 10:18

£37 Cornwall but my stylist is going mobile so it should be cheaper then.

DoorstoManual · 15/01/2023 10:19

£30 at home, Surrey.

jessieminto · 15/01/2023 10:19

£45 Manchester

boxingdayisbest · 15/01/2023 10:21

£67. I like the way my hairdresser cuts but used to have highlights too. I can no longer afford those! It has gone up from £45 in 2 years.

LydiaBennetsUglyBonnet · 15/01/2023 10:21

£35 I think. Up a fiver after COVID

letskeepbusy27 · 15/01/2023 10:23

£28 at my hairdressers in Northumberland

Shinyredbicycle · 15/01/2023 10:24

£50 zone 2 London.

They only charged my 15 year old £35 so pleased about that.

Not gone up much but colour where they make their money has.

DrunkenKoala · 15/01/2023 10:25

£35 Kent.

bigbluebus · 15/01/2023 10:26

I gave up paying hairdresser's prices years ago. I use a local barbers for a dry cut (wash it myself before I go and style it when I get home) and it's gone up from £12 to £15 but still cheaper and quicker than the hairdresser

TheNumberfaker · 15/01/2023 10:27

£42 posh bit of the midlands. That’s the cheapest I’ve found in my town.

AllAboutSlime · 15/01/2023 10:27

£52, grim north, nice salon.

Moomoomeemee · 15/01/2023 10:27

Mine has just had a price hike to £75! But that is with their most senior stylist. It didn't used to be that much and I'm tempted to go elsewhere

ithoughtisawapuddycat · 15/01/2023 10:28

£30 in the north west
